Can A Bloodline Be Cursed When Love Turns Deadly

Hollywood can invent a curse in a writers’ room, but what happens when real life already looks like the script? I watched Netflix’s Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen and couldn’t shake the feeling that its “marry your soulmate or die” premise echoes the way people talk about the Kennedy family tragedies. So I pulled the thread: the red flags, the dread, the wedding-week pressure, and the brutal idea that fate is waiting at the altar.
From there, I pivot into the JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy love story and the long shadow of the so called Kennedy Curse. I walk through a timeline of losses that people point to again and again, from assassinations to plane crashes to accidents and medical tragedies, and I talk honestly about why these patterns feel “too in your face” to ignore even if you’re skeptical. I also get into the parts of these stories that make viewers angry, like what’s shown versus what’s rumored, and the line between “disrespectful details” and the reality that death is part of life.
Then it gets personal: I share what I’ve learned about my own family connection, the ancestry notes my cousins sent, and how digging into names and dates can make history feel uncomfortably close. If you’ve ever wondered why some families seem followed by disaster, or why we reach for the word “curse” when grief won’t resolve neatly, you’ll feel right at home here. Hollywood Horror And Kennedy Parallels
SPEAKER_01Hello, welcome back to Strange Strange Beyond Insane, and this is your host, Melissa. So Hollywood wrote it, but the Kennedys lived this horror. Okay, so hear me out. The show Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen kept you on the edge of your seat with its uncanny ability to grab your attention right away. Now the love story written about the true events throughout JFK's life felt aerally similar. It's been said for years that the Kennedys have a curse on them. But think about it, Carolyn married him, and then poof, they went down in flames on a plane. Everyone kept asking her to make sure he was her true soulmate before she married him. It's true that a lot of people warned her about marrying him and the scrutiny that would follow. And again, this is the JFK Jr. story. The show also kept showing all the red flags about why that couple shouldn't marry. The family was rich and she wasn't. Just like Carolyn. But in the show, it's the other way around. She had the curse on her, not the men in the Kennedy family. So after watching the love story with JFK and Carolyn, and of course, I'm sorry, JFK Jr. and Carolyn, um, I also really took at the show something very bad's going to happen, and it kind of took me a couple times to watch it to like really love it. So this show kept also showing the red flags about why the couples should not marry. The family was rich, and again, there was always one that wasn't. And I remember hearing a lot about the Kennedys growing up and how they weren't faithful to their wives and how a curse followed all of them. There was nothing but tragedy throughout that family tree. So the question is: do you all believe in curses through a family bloodline? So at Netflix's something very bad is going to happen. A couple goes through a hectic first week where their entire relationship is recalibrated while secrets and lies come to light. The eighth-episode season focuses on Rachel and Nikki as they drive to his parents' cabin, where they are supposed to get married that weekend. This is the first time that Rachel is meeting his family, but she soon realizes that her own family histories tied up with this place that she is heading to. And all of the revelations that come to the wake of her wedding will change her life in the most unexpected of ways. A lot of weird things happen as Rachel and Nikki drive to his parents' cabin in the woods. Despite it being the week of their wedding, Rachel has a sinking feeling that something bad is going to happen, but she doesn't have any way to put a finger on it. This dread intensifies as she reaches the cabin and notices that Nikki's family is acting weirdly. As her worst fears start to take shape, she starts to wonder if Nikki's family disapproves of her so much that they are ready to kill her. Soon, however, she discovers that it isn't her in-laws that she needs to worry about. She is the one who has brought danger to them. Rachel's mother died a horrible death because of this. And in trying to protect her, her father turned into a weirdo, which caused him a relationship with his daughter. With no one else in her family, Rachel goes to her wedding alone, but the past catches up with her. And the immortal man, who is the reason for her family getting cursed, explains to her that if she marries Nikki and he is not her soulmate, she will die just like her mother did. And if she doesn't go through with the wedding, she will transfer the curse to Nikki's entire bloodline, who will have to face the consequences if they don't marry their soulmates. So, you know, the question is: does Rachel break the curse? When the wedding day comes, Rachel discovers that she can make a potion that will mentally transform her into Nikki's soulmate and solve the problem. Eventually, however, she decides not to do it. She leaves it to Fate to decide whether Nikki is her soulmate. At the altar, she says her vows, whatever doubts she may have had have washed away, and it is confirmed that he is her soulmate. But when the time comes for him to say I do, he backs off. The revelation about his parents' marriage makes him reconsider the institution of marriage, and Rachel realizes that he never believed in the curse. With only a few minutes left before sunset, it is Nikki's mom who convinces him to go through with the wedding. This makes Rachel realize how hypocritical he had been. So I'm not sure if anyone watched the show, but you know, um, it was pretty gruesome how they all ended up dying. They basically like bled out everywhere. It was a very gory, bloody scene. Um, Nikki's family. His sister died, the mom ended up dying, which I think the mom was already dying in the show, but I think this was a great show, but the ending was so fucking underwhelming that I'm pissed about that, but I'm hoping that they bring another season on. Now, the reason why I wanted to talk about this and the whole entire Kennedy family also watching a love story about JFK Jr. in Carolyn is because of the bloodline curse that everyone has been talking about for years and years and years. Like I said, this show was Hollywood made, but again, I will say it again, the Kennedys actually lived it. So let's just talk about the Kennedy deaths through the years. So Tatiana Schlossberg, I think, granddaughter of JFK, passed away from acute malloid leukemia, I think, um, the age of 35. Maeve Kennedy McKean died at the age of 40, and she was the granddaughter of JFK. I'm sorry, RFK, passed away during a kayaking accident. Okay, so I think Sarah Saori's Kennedy Hill, she was 22. Granddaughter of RFK passed away after a medical incident. Um, David A. Kennedy, son of RFK, passed away after a medical emergency at the age of 28. Um, Michael Kennedy was 39. He was son of RFK, and he passed away in a skiing accident. Um, Kathleen Kennedy Cavendish, age 28. She was sister of JFK. She passed away in an aviation accident. Joseph P. Kennedy Jr., eldest Kennedy sibling, passed away during military service at the age of 29. Carolyn Bissett Kennedy, age 33, wife of JFK Jr., passed away in a plane accident. Obviously, um John F. Kennedy Jr., age 38, son of JFK, passed away in a plane accident. Robert F. Kennedy, RFK, brother of JFK, died at 42 at a public campaign event in LA. And of course, JFK, age 46, 35th president of the United States passed away following a public event in Dallas. Um, and I know there's more that have passed away in the Kennedys, but I just was watching both shows. Um, you know, like uh I think I had finished something very bad's going to happen, and then I went to the um the JFJ Jr. one with Carolyn. And you know, I was kind of hesitant because it's been done so many times, but I was actually I really liked it. I think that they could trade him to be this like prince, you know, this prince charming, which I'm sure he was. Um, but he also was very unfaithful. Now, there's a lot that goes into the Kennedys and all the um dark and sneaky shit that they did, of course. Um, but I do like how these two shows you kind of bring them together, like the Hollywood version versus the real life curse slash tragedy that all of the Kennedys have went over or that have dealt with through the years.
Kik Kennedy And Repeating Patterns
SPEAKER_00There aren't many topics that I feel well equipped or almost like a doctorate level of knowledge that I think you might put on outside of violence. I believe that video in my presentation was so graphic, it was horrible. But that is the first assassination of the Kennedy family, and I'm running out of time, and I like barely cut my apple because I'm honestly embarrassed because I can barely cut it out.

SPEAKER_01So if you notice something interesting about that video that I just played on Tic Tac, um got the uh it was it Kit, Kit Kennedy, I think her name is. Um, she her first husband that she married, um, he died right after they got married. And then the next husband, well, the soon-to be husband, they got onto a plane knowing that they should have, but they did because it was very important for her to get her dad's approval. They ended up dying. So you can kind of see where these two shows meet, right? I'm sorry, I I I see patterns and it just was too it was too in my face to not talk about it and put these two things together. Maybe people think I'm crazy, which I am, but I just think it's very the similarities are so uncanny, you just you gotta talk about it. So a couple other deaths that I didn't mention. So, um, son of RFK, 28-year-old David Kennedy, I might have talked about this, but he actually died in a Florida hotel room due to a drug overdose. He has struggled with addiction since his dad's death. Um so Michael Lemoyne, Kennedy, in 1997, died in a skiing accident after crashing into a tree in Aspen, Colorado. He was 39 years old. So I think I did talk about these, but didn't really talk all about details. Um yeah, so Kik, I was right. Kathleen, they called her Kik Kennedy, 28 years old, died to a plane crash in France. Um, and then after getting illobotomy in her 20s due to erratic and violent behavior, Rosemary Kennedy was left with intellectual capabilities of a toddler, not speaking or eating, spending the rest of her life in private institutions and dying in 2005 at 86 years old. What a fucking tragedy to have to get illobotomy done because you're depressed and you have anxiety. I mean, like nowadays people microdose on shreams, right? Like, I cannot imagine getting a pick poked into my brain because of anxiety and depression. Um I truly believe in the Kennedy curves. I do, and I will tell you why. So I grew up always hearing about the Kennedys because we are related to the Kennedys. Now, the tricky thing is that this May, so next month, my mom will be gone for 13 years. So mom's been gone for a long time. That's on her side of the family that we are related. Um, her dad, Papa, he's been gone for God, nine years now, 10 years. Um, unfortunately, we're getting to the ages where everyone has passed on. So it's really hard for me to remember details on how we're how we are related. So I did message my cousin Valerie, and actually my cousin Nikki had a lot of information. So all right. So she says yes. Um, we are related. It's through my grandma and your great-grandmother. So her grandma is my great-aunt Patty. Their dad is the Kennedy. My my great-grandmother, your great-great-grandmother is a Wallace. It was the first cousins with Henry A. Wallace, who was vice president during World War II. Um, she said, Grandma Susie actually wrote to him to try and keep Uncle Danny from being shipped out. This connects us with his first wife that kept him stateside. Wallace ran for president as well. My dad said she was one of the most, I'm sorry, he was the most hated men in America at the time, LOL. He was also Secretary of Agriculture, um, as was the father. So Henry Argod Wallace. He was born on October 7th. Now, this is a crazy, so he was born October 7th, 1888, at um in Gator County, Iowa. Now you can ask Krista, anybody I go to the cemeteries with, I am so obsessed with all the graves of 1888. Like anytime I see the number 1888, I'm like, I don't know, I just love that number. So when she sent me this information, I'm like, 1888, of course. It was 1888 that he was born. Now he died on November 18th of 1965 in Danbury, Connecticut. Henry Aggard Wallace was the 33rd vice president of the United States, serving from 1941 to 1945 under President Frankin Franklin D. Roosevelt. Um, so they still own far this farm in Iowa, and it is preserved. So the Henry A. Wallace Country Life Center, located near Orient, Iowa, is a 40 acre birthplace farm. Of the former U.S. Vice President featuring his restored farmhouse, a gathering barn, orchard, and prairie trails, managed by the Wallace Centers of Iowa. This site focuses on sustainable agriculture, education, and community, honoring the legacy of the Wallace family. Okay, so then Nikki did um do a deep dive and she did get uh this ancestry information back. Okay, so her dad, Nikki's dad, my cousin, is his name is Luther. So Luther's great-grandparents um were George W. Bruce and Mary Ellen Wallace. And then it comes down to Luther's grandparents. So that was his great-grandparents. His grandparents were Daniel Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy. And then it goes down to Patricia Kennedy, Norma June Kennedy, Mary Jane Kennedy, and Bruce V. Kennedy. So I thought that was really cool. And um, you know, Nikki just said, you know, still I don't know all the details, especially um how related to the Kennedy clan we are, but I've done I've done some research on the Wallace part. Um then we also have a Kennedy, um, we have a Kennedy family tree book, and I have to find that. I know it's down here somewhere in the basement. Okay, so she says, Grandma used to tell me about it all the time. I said, Aunt Patty, right? So my grandpa signed, I could never remember, and she said, yes. Her dad was Daniel Kennedy, and her mom was Susie Wallace. She goes, oops, I'm sorry, it was Ethel. So it was Ethel Wallace. Um, the Hillbillies. Ethel Wallace. So that's how I'm tied in with her dad. So she said she hasn't gone further because it's a lot of money to do it. Um, she goes, but I want to eventually. And she sh she's she is sure that we still have family in Ireland and Scotland. And I said, you never know, you may have a castle waiting for you. And she goes, we move into the motherland, y'all. Um, and I told her, I said, I will actually pitch in with you on how much money it is because I would love to do even a deeper dive. Um, I've kind of always wanted to know more about the Kennedys because again, I grew up hearing about them and the Kennedy Curse. And we've had a lot of crazy shit happen in our family on my mom's dad's side, so my grandpa, and they used to call it the Galloping Galloways mixed with the Kennedy Curse. So, you guys, that might take some time to do a deep dive, but stay with me and stay tuned because I will be doing that soon. I don't know how soon, but let's just say the near future. But, anyways, if you guys have not watched either one of these shows, what are you doing? Like, you have to watch these. Again, the Hulu love story, JFK Jr. with Carolyn was again a love story, but I think they did a really good job, like portraying New York City. Um, I loved Carolyn in this show, how much they showed her working with Kelvin Klein. Um, because obviously she worked for Kelvin Klein for years. I I really, really, really, really enjoyed it. And I hated, of course, the part where the plane goes down, and a lot of people are pissed because supposedly her, you know, her parts of her body was um found with her sister. Like they were hand in hand. So she was in the back of the plane. JFK Jr. actually went through the front of the plane and like half his torso got cut through the propellers, which um a bunch of people are pissed off online that, like, why would the people that went in to basically clean up and you know get all the debris, why would they be talking about that? And that's so fucking disrespectful. It's like I don't think it's disrespectful because some of us like details. I mean, death is a part of life, and yeah, it it's the facts are the facts, right? Um, but in the show, they show him and her in the front and her sister in the back by by herself. So I know that was wrong. Some people are really pissed, but I mean, who cares? It's a show. Um, but something very bad is going to happen. If you haven't seen that, watch it, and you might have to watch it twice, like I did, to kind of like really get it, right? Um, but anyways, I have seen a huge increase on downloads. Um, this last couple weeks. I mean, I'm reaching like over a hundred downloads a day.
