A quiet parlor, a fallen doll, and a knock that answered from behind a tiny attic door—our night at Bihl Manor in Fremont, Ohio, threads personal curiosity through a house layered with history. We set up in the former funeral parlor, walked the halls Daisy once called home, and watched patterns form: a music box that chimed when we laughed, an iPad that hunted focus on its own, and a full-body apparition photo caught in the corridor behind the parlor. Nothing felt hostile, but nothing felt empty either, and that tension shaped how we approached the evidence.

We break down the house’s past—from family viewings to decades as a group home—and connect device hits to names and rooms locals still talk about. Upstairs, phrases like roof, male, and die surfaced often enough to push us toward follow-up research on accidents and obituaries. In the attic, a simple control paid off: a measured knockback after a greeting at a small door. We tried to debunk it, then logged why the timing mattered and what tests we’ll run next. The basement? Surprisingly calm, which is useful too; knowing where not to spend an hour keeps future sessions sharp.

From there, the map widens. We lay plans for a focused return with a smaller team, then pivot to the Grosse Ile Pilot House—an officers’ club turned inn with a ballroom, aviation history, and reports of dark shapes and hallway sounds. We add a new series on under-the-radar roadside motels and sketch daytime runs through gothic cemeteries with tight access windows. Pet cemeteries make the list as an ethical, curious test bed: do human spirits visit where their animals rest, and do animal-linked trigger items shift response rates?

The heart of the conversation sits in patience and purpose. We talk cadence, silence, and the value of one clear question at a time. We also set a bigger goal: Gettysburg, with carefully chosen Civil War-era trigger objects from a family collection to honor place and story at sites like Devil’s Den, Sachs Covered Bridge, and the Jennie Wade House. If you love field investigations that balance folklore, method, and memory, this one will sit with you long after the last timestamp.

Beal Manor History And Setup

SPEAKER_03

Hello everyone, welcome back, and this is your host, Melissa, at Strange Strange, Beyond Insane. And tonight I have my co-host, Christina. AKA Harry. Yes, that so we just got done um making her blonde again here in the basement, the little salon basement, and we figured that we will do a quick podcast episode on our stay at Bill Manor last weekend.

SPEAKER_06

Last weekend.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, you guys. So Bill Manor is in Fremont, Ohio, and it resides on the corner of the historic neighborhood since the 1890s. The manor has gathered its fair share of history through the 130 years it's been standing. From starting out as a family residence that once held a few funeral viewings in the parlor of the home, it was later converted into a group home for special needs population for 30 years before closing sometime in the 1990s.

SPEAKER_05

And we slept in the parlor.

Parlor Sleepover And Daisy’s Story

SPEAKER_03

We did. Yep. After its closure, the home had been sold to a couple with hopes of turning the manor into a bed and breakfast, but would fall back into the hands of another family in 2009 who only stayed in the house for a year. Now we do know, um, so we went, our friend Dawn, shout out to Dawn for at the Ghost Whisperers. Yes. Um Savannah and Savannah and Jasper. Um I know Dawn did say that the um most of the kids, the special needs kids, were the ones that parents would drop off and did not want. And that was not long ago. No. Um then who was Miss Daisy? She was the caretaker, right? I believe so. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

That's whose room was in the back behind the parlor. And she's the one that passed away in front of the door, correct?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Yeah. That's what I'm remembering correctly.

Early Activity And The Doll Drop

SPEAKER_03

While it's unknown why the last family only stayed for a year, many believe it could have something to do with the paranormal experiences the family once had while they were there. Currently the home is under the amazing care of a fellow paranormal enthusiast, Carlo, which Dawn loves. They're very good friends, um, who has now opened the home to curious minds with who wish to see what goes bump in the night. And let's just say it does not disappoint. It definitely does not. So this person says, and this is off Lemon 8, and this is the ghoul guide. In fact, I'm gonna follow her on TikTok. Um, she's she claims while the night started off quiet, we had a few weird instances of the music box and other equipment turning on when we were giggling. Um leaving rooms. Yep, leaving rooms and not even investigating. And that's remember when we kept hearing things as well, or when the dolls were doing that thing, we weren't even investigating, we were just talking. So, yeah, so what Christina's saying is that when we first got there, Dawn was, you know, giving us a little feel for like the first level. Um, I bought I brought Wendy, my doll, with the pink eyes. Dawn has go ahead, tell tell them about her doll, Bonnie. Yeah, Bonnie. So tell him what with the table, what happened with the table?

SPEAKER_00

So we put them on the table. And then I don't even know if we walked out of the room, we were doing something. We turned around, we came back, and Wendy was on the floor face down.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And it was recording, so we have it on video. Yes, and I actually so it's on my iPad too.

SPEAKER_06

Mm-hmm.

Gear, Evidence, And Music Box Triggers

SPEAKER_03

Um, so I am gonna play some slew of We did put it back on and it didn't happen again, did it? No. I have only that one. It was very, but we kept saying how. But something moved. My iPad moved on its own and it kept zooming in and out. Yeah. Yeah. So we do have some evidence that we collected. I'm gonna play that for you guys. But yeah, we um overall it was a very nice day. Mm-hmm. Um beautiful house. I don't think anything like evil or bad is there, but Savannah caught a bomb-ass apparation picture. She did and I right away. She was in the parlor where we slept, but that was earlier in the night. Well, across into the bathroom. Right, into Daisy's bathroom. Like into the I think she's the one that died in the front of the house. Miss Daisy. But it's but Savannah captured a full apparition of a woman.

SPEAKER_00

And that's why they said that down that hallway where Daisy's bedroom was, behind the parlor, that they would see an apparition of a woman in white walking back and forth or whatever it was, and that's what she probably caught, I'm assuming.

SPEAKER_03

That was a really good picture. All right, well, I am going to go through some evidence, and we're gonna play it on the mic for you guys, and then we'll come back, hop on here, and talk more about um our future plans in the next place we want, because we're we're kind of going back and forth.

SPEAKER_05

We got a couple places, we got quite a few places we want to go to.

SPEAKER_03

There's a lot of places we want to go a lot, but it's like do we want to stay two days, three days, do we want to do a few overnights right now, then maybe revisit the longer vacations?

SPEAKER_02

But all right, you guys, well, I will play back some evidence an LED light bulb that you took on one end and you put a static bulb next to it, and you ask the spirits to touch the static buttons, and it will light up the light bulb. So the light bulb is just laying on plastic, but the static from the static bulb will light up the light bulb, and that's pretty cool. What about a right? Huh? Roy. No. We know like all the kids' names that come here too. I got Dan. That little cat ball keeps going off in that crib like crazy. It does K2 here, it's still in the second house. All these litting dolls I brought too. What about? Is there a I can't wait to post that on Follow You video of the down from downstairs? I find these little dolls at the antique store and I bring them here to be all they just love them. Don, is there a rack here? Oh, Campbell's going off.

SPEAKER_01

A what?

SPEAKER_02

What name?

Apparition In The Hallway Photo

SPEAKER_01

Rack by Henderson. Like, do you have like a favorite rack here? Or is there a rock that's like painted from a kid?

SPEAKER_02

Basement. We're having more activity with her downstairs. But um, this little one's gone off. Has anybody been watching the ones up there seeing that the pay to meter's gone off on the little Amish boy? And then the second one. So was the one down here? What do you want a picture of?

SPEAKER_03

I got voice.

Playing Back Captured Evidence

SPEAKER_02

So earlier you were telling us to play hide and seek in the dark. Do you want us to play hide and seek? These little light-up balls. We can play a game.

SPEAKER_03

Follow you, he said. Follow you.

SPEAKER_02

You're probably chat because it's like a nice voice. Or how about if we do the knocking thing again? I'll knock and you you do it right there. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

That was a knock. Can you knock that? Oh. Tar? Are you talking about the tar in the roof? Did you fall when you were working? It said roof like five times.

SPEAKER_02

Well, they kept saying.

SPEAKER_01

And then die.

SPEAKER_02

What were they saying about male?

SPEAKER_01

And this is the third time they said male. Roof, die, male.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I got time over here.

Static Bulb Demo And Cat Balls

SPEAKER_02

A male? Oh, well, Mr. Wolf, which would have been Clarence, died up in one of these bedrooms up here, but they're not sure exactly which one. And Carlos said he just got new information today that not the wolf, but the Beal family, the original family, because they moved to Illinois, but their mother-in-law came here and died in this house. But they used the downstairs parlor for funerals too, so they probably had the funeral. So I know that's two different mother-in-laws families. Mary, and I don't know the I think Elizabeth is the new one that they found out today. Um Daisy and Clarence, and then a few children, plus all the camels that they have here.

SPEAKER_01

Again.

SPEAKER_02

You know that's do you wanna do the hallway? Do you wanna do another room room? Whatever everybody else wants to do. You have to go next door. You see the one next door. You have to go one next door.

SPEAKER_01

Holy shit. Is there a hobo living here? They can't do that.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I don't think something was coming from over there.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't do anything. I gotta watch it with the old people look like a lunatic. I got it.

Names, K2 Hits, And Voices

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so we've we posted this several times on TikTok. In fact, I made a gif out of Don's Okay, so we kept hearing shit up in this attic, and we're like, and that's why I kept saying rat. Because so even before I went to the attic, I kept saying rats, because I'm like, I hear shit scratching. Like, why do you keep saying because I heard like the scratching, so I just fucking figured it was it was rats.

SPEAKER_00

In the ceiling, it just sound like that.

SPEAKER_03

So then Harry goes in the ceiling. No, but she goes, So, anyways, up in the attic, like up in the actual attic, there's like small little tiny attic rooms too, like with little people little people doors. You know, like the bridge to Terra Bithia.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So Harry Sack here, aka Christina, she was like, I think it's coming from like above.

SPEAKER_00

Like it sounded like it was coming from in in between of like a not a hallway, what would you call it? Like not a nook, but like a like a nook, yeah. Okay, is that the right word? Like a small little and there was the one door, and I'm like, no, it's coming from above me. I'm like, I'm standing right next to the door. I'm like, it seriously sounds like it's coming from above me. And you're like, I'm like, maybe it is an animal.

SPEAKER_03

So then Dawn, so like, we're all like, wait, what? Now it's above us. So then Dawn went and so that video didn't capture all of it, but Savannah's did. But so Dawn went to the little tiny person door and knocked and said, hello, and then about two seconds, three seconds maybe. I'm not if that if that it was like this, another knock. Like on the other side, and Dawn fucking goes running. Typical paranormal investigator, right? We want something to happen, and then you go run away. Oh my gosh. And this is a video if we don't play it. Okay, play it. It's a minute long. Oh, here we go. Do you want do you want to put it into this thing right here?

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_04

Up there. That's Savannah's video.

SPEAKER_03

So this is me talking like a crazy person.

SPEAKER_07

I can say, should I go back?

SPEAKER_04

This one wasn't problems.

SPEAKER_03

Let's get the Ouija board. I have no panics. Yeah, if you guys go on to our TikTok, um we have it on TikTok, we have it on Facebook. It you can clearly hear the knocking back. It was like perfect. The same And it it was about three seconds later.

SPEAKER_00

And I was gonna say it was like the same amount of energy. It felt like like it or um how do you say it?

Roof, Male, Death: Interpreting Clues

SPEAKER_04

Like when she the way she knocked.

SPEAKER_03

The way she knocked and it mimicked.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, right. It mimicked. It was loud. It wasn't just like a little like I didn't run though.

SPEAKER_03

I stood there. I was like, whoa, that was awesome. And then even after that, she thought maybe it was an animal, so she locked us in, she ran out and closed the door, closed us all in. But then we went in there and we were looking, and like there was no animal, no b- I mean, I don't whatever, but definitely the place is haunted. I did not feel anything in the basement at all, even like when we first walked down there, so that's not really a place that I wanted to investigate. Um, but I would definitely like to go back and maybe with just like two people because I think it'd be way creepier.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I think it'd be interesting to go back now that we like know a little bit more too, and we like we're showing around. Because always like the first night when you've never been somewhere, it's kind of like a maze.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. You don't know what room, what room, what room was whose room or who was here and who was there. I didn't do my research like I normally do.

SPEAKER_03

So, yeah, it's Fremont, Ohio, so it's only like a couple hours, right underneath two hours. Um good price, kept up very well. It's a very nice house. No complaints, beautiful porch.

SPEAKER_00

Very quiet too outside.

SPEAKER_04

Every time we stepped outside or whatever to get you know, fresh hair or whatever, it was just to get warmed up.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, it was very nice.

House Deaths And Funeral Parlor Talk

SPEAKER_03

Quiet. So the next place that I'm thinking about Christina and I can go to for a um overnight would be the I think it's called the Pi. Well, Dawn actually told me because she didn't know that I was going um to Gross Eel as much. And I used to I used to do Amazon on Gross Eel. That's how I kind of so the pilot house. Never heard of that one on Gross Eel Idol. No, it's Gross Eel. Is it? It's Gross Eel, yeah. Alright, so the pilot house. Now this is about 45, maybe 50 minutes away. Alright. So the old Curtis Wright Barracks, also known as Gross Eel Pilot House, built as a mess hall and a dormitory, used as senior officers' quarters and the club from 1933 until the base closed in 1969. And it's still standing. Okay. Now there is what did they tell you about? Oh, okay, so the pilot house rooms. So the Grossville Pilot House has modern, comfortable rooms as a reasonable, I'm sorry, at a reasonable price. We are your home away from home and pride ourselves in making you feel like family and staying with us. So it kind of feels like um when we went to Putin Bay. Which we always say Putin Bay.

SPEAKER_04

Right. I never say it right.

Attic Scratches And Tiny Door Knockback

SPEAKER_03

So the ballroom. The pilot house's beautifully renovated, historic ballroom. It's a unique venue, perfect for special occasions such as weddings, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, baby showers, birthday parties, graduations, memorial services, and more. Now, we want to get to the creepy shit. Now I can't remember what Dawn said. Grosse Old Pilot House, let's see, Paranormal. I thought she said they got good. And you can like rent um the very top part for a little bit extra, but she said it's worth it. Alright, let's check out this from Facebook. So this is um Detroit Paranormal Expeditions, and this was in 2019. They say today we stopped by the Gross Yield Michigan and checked out the pilot house. It's a historic World War II officers club dating back to 1929. It's reported to be haunted by some who have visited, and it's a beautiful building with lots of history. So at least through here, you know, you can see the pictures. Yeah. It reminds me, you know what it kind of reminds me of? Well, that whole island does. Um, dirty dancing.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So um well, I just lost my search bar here. Because we're reading from two different screens. Ran away. Alright, here we go. Alright, haunted downriver. Because this is downriver.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I know I used to work down there. Um did you? Did I? I did. I think so. Once upon a time.

SPEAKER_05

Alright, though.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, so the pilot house is a charming bed and breakfast known for its spooky past. Visitors frequently claim to witness dark shapes and hear airy noises, many of which appear to be connected to the property's aviation background. So that's there was a um airbase there.

unknown

I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_03

So, and you can't really find a lot about it. That's what I love. Um, there's a podcast on it. Haunted Michigan with meltdown. So the pilot house. Well, let's just read it. We need to check it out. Uh, let's see. Oh, this is in Spanish. Well, that's why I can't fucking read it.

SPEAKER_07

That's why, of course.

Debunk Attempts And Baseline Feelings

Return Plans And Small-Team Strategy

Pilot House Research And Vibes

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so this is one of the few remaining structures of a once busy naval air station. The Gross Yo Pilot House still provides the basic services that were originally intended for it when it was built over 80 years ago. Built by Curtis Wright Aeronautical Corporation in 1929 as part of the$120,000 expansion program. It was designed as a dining area and barracks for flight school students that the company was teaching at the Gross Yill Airfield. The barracks, along with the hangar to the east of it, were used as flying school as well as an aircraft sales and service faculty. The 1920s was an era of expansion. Flying was becoming a fast fad, and many were taking advantage of the growing industry. At the same time, Curtis's right, I'm sorry, Curtis's right was expanding its. Faculty, the U.S. Navy Reserve was moving to Gross Hill as well. After organizing a Naval Air Reserve Squadron in 1926, Lieutenant Charles D. Williams Jr. moved the squadron from the Army Selfridge Field and the Detroit Memorial Park to Gross Eel. The area was on the southern tip of the island near the airfield. Money provided by the state of Michigan allowed them to build a seaplane hangar as well as living quarters, shops, and a mess hall. I think a mess hall is where they eat. If I remember from Paul talking military life. Drillable drillables? I think that's the word drillables. Lieutenant Williams and Commander R. Thornton Broadhead, the commander of the Michigan Naval Reserve, took this opportunity to acquire the Curtis Wright property after it closed down operations. They were also able to lease remaining land from the Aircraft Development Corporation, thereby controlling about 375 acres of land. Using Works Projects Administration, also known as the WPA, funds in 1935, runways, roads, and taxiways were added, making the base a first-rate airfield. So close, you know, um squadrons. I think that's how you say it, right? Squadrons. With the entry. Alright, so with the entry of the United States into the war, the base expanded to double its size. A five million dollar expansion program built a large number of wooden buildings north of Gras Road, directly across from the Curtis-Wright barracks. These buildings were used for classrooms, training, simulator rooms, and administration offices, as well as a PX, which is like a grocery, like a just like a store and base, medical dispensary, and barracks. Three runways were also laid out around the original circular field. The base now consisted of 604 acres and housed over 2,000 men and women, plus the RAF cadets. The old Curtis Wright barracks was still being used as senior officers' quarters as well as the officers' club throughout the war. So let's see, I'm trying just to skip to like the important stuff. So on July 1st of 1946, the new post-war Naval Air Reserve program was launched. At this time, Gross Iel was home to 10 Naval Air Reserve Squadrons as well as one Marine Squadron. Throughout the remainder of the life of the base, various units were quartered at Gross Iel and thousands of reservists were trained. The base continued to be a thriving and busy operation. In 1964, the Department of Defense ordered that the base be closed. It was determined that Selfridge Field could handle the various activities from Gross Iel as well as the Coast Guard and other reserved aviation units. With the advent of much faster and larger jet aircraft, the runways at Gross Eel would prove to be inadequate. The expected closing of the base and the move to Selfridge was not begun until October of 1969. By November, the last training class was held and the base was closed. Since 1969, the area that once was Gross Yale Naval Air Station has been, I'm sorry, has seen many drastic changes. The wooden structures that were built to accommodate the massive expansion during World War II have been razed. Gross Yale Township has taken over the airfield, using it as a civilian airport. The few remaining buildings are being used for recreation activities and light industry. Wow. The original dance floor and two original natural fireplaces are still in use. It is often that a guest of the Gross Eel Pilot House will recall a story of either being stationed at Gross Eel and in training here, or as a guest at a dance held at the officers club. I think it would be a really unique place to stay. I think it'd be interesting. But in your address. You're right. Um right here. So if you go to maps, I'd say about 50 minutes at the most. Yeah, let's say direction. I'd say about 40. What the hell? Why is it not putting in my location? You have to do this right. Yeah, about 56 minutes. 94 is about an hour. Oh wow. But that's just because, like, okay, so here we are. Yeah. Right here. So like you go through.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I know that's not far, but I just thought it was closer than that for some reason.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so it's you know, you go through like the outskirts, like South Warren, then around Detroit, then downriver. So we're passing Tom's house in Melvindale. River Rouge, River Rouge, Allen Park, Southgate, and then um, so it's like gross point in like Detroit area. But it's downriver Detroit. Right.

SPEAKER_05

So I was thinking, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So like an hour, I mean, it's at. So I don't think that's bad at all, do you?

SPEAKER_05

No, not at all.

SPEAKER_03

So yeah, I think that would be a cool place to do an overnight. Uh-huh. Now, what places Harry, woman of the hour, best friend of every hour. So come on in, don't be shy. I'm here. Tell our listeners. Um, you gotta get a listener. I don't think. But I mean, is there is there somewhere that you really want to go?

SPEAKER_04

I want to go to Gettysburg, for sure.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so we're planning that this summer with the boys. And then there was somewhere else. Myrtle Myrtle Beach. No, Myrtle Hotel. Is that the plantation? Mm-hmm. Okay. Is that is that in Savannah, Georgia? I want to say it's somewhere farther down south.

SPEAKER_00

That's on my longer list of like longer destin, you know, driving. And then I'm trying to think there's a few other ones. What else did I find in Ohio? I'm trying to think recently. You were just talking about that.

SPEAKER_04

I know, that's what I'm like, I can't think of the names now. There's a sanitarium.

SPEAKER_00

Is that how you say it?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, sanitarium.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And then there was something else I found in Ohio too. I can't remember what it was though now. It was like another.

SPEAKER_04

I want to say an Airbnb.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so when we go to Did we figure out what month we're going to Gettysburg? I don't think so yet. What about June?

SPEAKER_07

That's fine.

SPEAKER_03

Excuse me. Okay, so Gettysburg is a premier terrifying destination offering haunted candlelight ghost tours through blood-soaked battlefields and historic buildings. Like Paul says, everywhere is ghost town there.

SPEAKER_05

Right.

SPEAKER_03

Must-do activities include the exploring of the Jenny Wade House, conducting paranormal investigations at the Fransworth House Inn, and visiting airie locations like The Devil's Den, Sacks Covered Bridge, and the National Homestead Orphanage. Oh, hell yeah.

SPEAKER_05

There's quite a few places.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so Jenny Wade House. Visit the home where the only civilian killed during the battle died. Visitors report hearing screams, gunshots, and feeling phantom touches. Yeah. Fern's Farnsworth House Inn. Known for having Confederate sharp shooters and its rafters. This inn offers ghost tours and is considered one of the most haunted sites.

SPEAKER_00

Sign us up. I know. And then there was somewhere else, like in the like battlefield or whatever it was, where you can see and you see soldiers.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I've seen pictures. Yeah. Am I saying is that Saks? Right. I think that would be considered Saks covered bridge. We know we love our bridges, Harry. Yes, we do. Frequently cited as one of the most haunted spots. It is repetitive haunted by the spirits of the executed Confederate soldiers. Executed.

SPEAKER_04

And so also I have a lot of stuff, not a lot, but I have some stuff in the Civil War that I plan to bring with me as maybe like trick. I don't think trigger object. Yeah. Yeah. Trigger objects.

SPEAKER_03

Well, let's talk about your dad's stuff. Um, so the Devil's Den, a rocky area known for intense fighting, where visitors often report feeling cold spots and seeing apparitions.

SPEAKER_00

Dad's dad's pot.

SPEAKER_03

National Homestead Orphanage, renowned for the harsh treatment of children by a former headmistress. And then the ghost tours, um, candlelight, walking tour, and you can learn about the ta town's haunted history, which I think Paul and Matt would be cool for that. Because Paul does like the um historic tour, like the history tour. The history tour, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I think that'd be. I don't know, that's one place I really did want to go. Okay, so talk about your dad's love for so my dad had a very, very big passion for the Civil War for years and years and years, even since before I was younger and I can even remember. He used to go um on weekends to different cities with his friends to what would you call them? They're not conventions, but like re-enchants. Oh, reenactments.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no, but not that, where he would buy like Civil War, like the actual stuff with the Civil War.

SPEAKER_03

I can't think of a word with um I'm drawing a blank for you. Like gun shows, but they're like that. Right, right.

Travel Logistics And Timing

SPEAKER_00

That the kids vendors and stuff. Yeah. So it with which it's authentic stuff, and they would do the research, but he had a whole curio curio cabinet full of stuff, plus tons of other things. My mom did sell a lot of it, but he was very, very into it and knew the history, and I always asked him, I'm like, why weren't you a history teacher? Yeah. I always remember wondering, like, I'm like, he went into, you know, banking, accounting, and you know, whatever.

SPEAKER_04

How long has your dad been gone now? Yeah, since 2019. Six years? Yeah. September.

SPEAKER_03

So you should take a little bit of his ashes. I have them. No, but like we should take a little bit of ashes.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know if I can open that.

SPEAKER_03

We can. Okay. I think you should sprinkle a little bit. I think he would like that. I don't know if he'd love that.

SPEAKER_00

No, he went, he used to go to Ohio because they would always drive. I remember on the weekends being like a kid, and me and my mom, my brother would go out to eat, and he could be coming back, obviously, it's work on Monday. So he'd come back, you know, they him and um his friend, he went with a few different different people, but they would always come back Sunday, and I remember going out to eat, but I remember thinking like I forgot my point was that. Well, that's he loved it. Well, right, but Ohio, and I'm I don't remember, I don't think he went to Gettysburg. I don't that yeah, I don't remember if we went to Gettysburg. That was my point. Sorry. No, but you're okay.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know. I'm assuming, I mean, as many times I mean they did he have buddies that liked us too.

SPEAKER_03

Was he Yeah, so he probably went with them. Your mom probably didn't want to. Oh no, my mom didn't go. No.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. The one guy we got in contact with um that lives in, he he actually worked with quite a few guys that were into the same thing back then.

SPEAKER_03

And but that's he would collect it, and I mean, I have pictures, I have swords, I have buckles, I have yeah, bring definitely bring some some trigger items and we'll celebrate your dad's life. Yeah, he's that was he was very, very proud of everything that he got.

SPEAKER_00

And he always obviously looked into it beforehand. He had his eye on something, he wanted it. Yeah, he made sure it was J. Yep, and he would go to where it was. So I again I was younger back then, especially when they went to different states. So I just remember Ohio, but I know they went to plenty. I just don't know if he's ever been to Gettysburg.

SPEAKER_05

Obviously, I can't ask him right now.

SPEAKER_03

He probably I feel like they had to have. I feel like they have to have. So, okay, so Gettysburg. So maybe we're thinking June. Yeah. I think June would be a good time to go. So we gotta talk to Paul before you leave. Yeah. Um, because Matt wants to go too, right? Yeah. I know they're gonna probably go golfing.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, dude.

Dream Destinations: Gettysburg

SPEAKER_03

I already talked to Paul. I said they're gonna do their thing. You know, we're gonna hang out, you know, do our stuff too, but then um, I would like two nights or at least one whole night that we get you know. Right, we can do our own thing. Yeah, we're gonna go stay. Because the boys are they're pansies and they're not gonna want to stay at a haunt. They're staying in a haunt. Yeah, they don't want to stay, and if we have the baby, anyways, Paul and Jack and Matt can hang out. Because they're they're gonna want to drink vias and they're gonna want to watch TV. Watch the game, whatever games on. Yeah, you know, because you know they're typical dudes. Yeah. So that'll be oh, I can't wait to go there.

SPEAKER_00

That'll be so much fun. There's so many places. I know there's one of the ones that just freaks me. Only because my dad, like and I I have an interest in it too, only because he's told me certain things. And I remember being younger, and I remember I'm like, I'm like thinking, like, oh my gosh, this is so boring. You're telling me the history button and it's like now how interested I am.

SPEAKER_03

It's like I'm like, Well, because there's a lot of like paranormal.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and I wish I would have paid more, not that I would have remembered all of it, but still.

SPEAKER_03

So now I have another idea too. So I was thinking to like start finding random hotel, like old school motels and go stay the night and see if they're haunted. Because you don't you don't hear anybody talking about this.

SPEAKER_04

No, just like when we went to Ohio before that one with the cups and whatever. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. That's so I want to do that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that'd be fun too. So I'm gonna we're gonna start a project doing that because that's something we can just do like on a Saturday night.

SPEAKER_06

Right.

SPEAKER_03

And Paul always tells us to pull over and just stay somewhere for a few hours, anyways. If we're you know, if we get tired or the weather gets bad. Alright, so I have a few QA's, well, Q's, and then you got the A's. Alright, we'll see. So since since the last time we talked on here, do you feel like your abilities have heightened?

SPEAKER_05

Yes, I do.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. Um, what is something that you have learned from staying in haunted locations? What's like the number one thing you've learned? Patience. Oh my god, she's feet in the light.

SPEAKER_04

God bless her. No, really, because I'm more of a hyper verbal and I just I don't know when to stop.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we're both very hyper. So like I have to be like, we're yin and yang. So like she has to like slap me if I'm being crazy, I have to slap her if she's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

And I realized when she told me, I'm like, it makes sense. I'm like, you know, she's asking a question, and I'm I hurry up and I ask one right after, and she's like, you didn't even find the answer. And I was like, oh, that's true. I tried to answer.

SPEAKER_03

Do you see this right here? You see how it says 2026? You know like 25. Oh, now it says 26. No, we're in the year 2026.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I thought you were talking about, but the date just literally changed.

Sites, Trigger Objects, And Dad’s Collection

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm like, I'm like, no, just okay, so we're in the year 2026, so we've probably been friends for like 20 years. Okay. That's too long. That's too long. But we're planning a trip this summer. Okay, let's see. What other question do I have? Um Okay, in your dream scenario on pretty much any place you want to go haunted, would you A rather drive in like a like an RV type deal? Or B, would you rather fly? Not fly. Not fly? Drive? Yep, drive. Nice. Okay. Um, what other questions do I have? It's got they gotta be good ones. I don't want them to just be like salt and pepper questions. They have to be spicy. Do you feel like your paranormal life is going to change a little bit now that you are nesting with somebody?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, not really.

SPEAKER_03

No, you still have interest in it?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I was gonna say that. I'm like, that doesn't phase me. Like we were talking about the other day.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, oh, I can go.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like no one cares, go.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That's again, if it's gonna be like a week or a week and a half, I'm gonna be away. Obviously, I'd be like, hey, by the way, I'm not gonna be here because I think it's sorry, honey. I'm gonna be gone. Hey. Okay. This last trip was like a little bit last minute, but again, it was one night, so I'm like, who cares? But I'm like, no, that's I still that's like you're like, if you don't want to go, I was like, no, I want to go.

SPEAKER_03

So what it what does what do you think, or I should say, what what do you want your future to look like in the paranormal? Like, do you want to do something with it? Is it just a hobby? Is there I'm not sure. I mean it's a hobby, but I want to do something with it too, but I just don't know. I can't tell you what I want to do with it because I don't really know. Okay. Nice. I like it. You have any questions for me? Not when you catch me on the spot like that. Well, that's the whole point of this. We're in real time right now.

SPEAKER_05

What do you want to do in your future with paranormal?

SPEAKER_03

I want to make a documentary. That's what started the podcast. I want to do like a Michigan-based, like raw, authentic, unedited, in your fucking face, like real life, like paranormal and urban legend documentary.

SPEAKER_05

And there's so many places in Michigan too. It's amazing.

Trip Planning With The Crew

SPEAKER_03

I know. Well, and I never knew. I mean, like, I really part of the documentary, I want to interview as many people as I can. Um, get everyone's feedback, know everyone's angles, um, you know, places like places and places about Michigan, the Great Lakes, is a big fucking deal. It is. Yeah. What other questions do you have? One that I can think of at the moment. Oh, I do have an idea. So there are a few pet cemeteries around. So I do I think that would be- I've never been to one. I you know, I think I have I think up north there was one by Maxine's place. It was a very small. Um, but I definitely think we should investigate in a pet cemetery. That would be really interesting. I think it'd be super interesting because, like, are there human spirits still attached with them? Right. Do they go there after to visit? Do they go there after, or do the do all the animals just fucking is it like a free-for-all afterlife, like in the zoo? Um, there's another thing I want to bring up too. So there's all these projects we we have to do. So, like the hotel motel thing, um, the pet cemetery. Oh, and Chrissy. Okay, so I'm not gonna punch her, but I might after. So we have been trying to plan to go to these fucking cemeteries during the day. The gothic ones that you can only get into into like till like three like 3:30 ish, four o'clock.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, PM.

SPEAKER_03

They're gothic cemeteries.

SPEAKER_05

Um lock them after that.

SPEAKER_03

So hopefully one day we'll have a date, a day date where we can go out. When it's, you know, we take Jack. I really want I have to see these cemeteries. I know. Yeah, I know you know. Because I tell you. She's gonna pinch me after. I'm gonna punch you. If we don't go, I'm gonna be so upset. Especially before you go back to work. She's taking a little siesta, a little break. Like, we need to go. We need to go. We I need to get your ass up and we need to go. Okay. And we'll probably get breakfast first, because you know. Of course, Melbourne has to eat. I gotta eat, you know. We'll get breakfast. She's a nighttime eater. I'm more like, I need before we go do something. She's she's like a night creature. She comes out for just a little bit of food, but you know, Melie Mel with the kid, I need girl, I need to. She's always been like that, honey. Yeah, but now with Jack, because he his ass, man, I'm telling you, that is I don't miss like sleep. Right. But I miss like sleeping in some mornings. I'm like, god damn. Modern days where you just don't want to get up. You're like, ugh. Jack, the aka the baby, Jack, Jack. But yeah, we have to do that before you go back to the book.

SPEAKER_04

We've been saying that forever. We need to do that.

SPEAKER_03

But maybe we should wait. I think Paul said it's not gonna get into like the 40s again. I think until March. Well, we're almost there. But on Monday. Maybe. Oh shit, St. Patty's Day is coming up too. On the 17th, right? Yeah, the 17th.

unknown

God.

SPEAKER_03

But yeah, so um, well, it was nice to hop on here. Yes. Again, Bill Manor was a very nice day. Yeah, I'd love to go back again someday. We never have enough time, of course.

SPEAKER_00

No, it feels like anywhere we go it's rushed. Right. Well, it's not at the time until the next thing. I'm like, man, I wish we had more time.

SPEAKER_03

It's always like that.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, every time.

SPEAKER_03

So we have Gettysburg plans, we have motel hotel, motel, notel. Um, just random places I want us to stay, even if it's only for like four hours. Yeah, you know, and check them out. We have the daytime gothic cemeteries that we need to check out.

SPEAKER_04

Pet cemeteries.

Projects: Motels, Cemeteries, Pet Cemeteries

SPEAKER_03

Pet cemeteries, yes. Um, I'm actually Gonna ask them at the adoring pet down the street in Fraser because that's where we take all of our pet. They you can actually do like a little funeral service, it's cute. They have like a thing that you lay your anyways. But I might ask them if we can come in there one day and like do like a little investigation. Like, hey, do you mind if we like just see if anything? Because that's where Luca went too. They cremated him there. But um, yeah, we have a lot more projects coming and more content, and there's uh there's always so much content to put on here, but now it's just finding the time. Even before a kit, it was like finding the time, the work, life, fun time balance, right? Right. And even now that you're you know you've been off for a little bit, you know how quick time is just flipping. It goes by faster. Right, right. You guys, I'm only working technically at my job two days a week right now, Fridays and Saturdays, and I door dash a little bit at night when I can, but now that I'm just more home, it goes by faster than it did when I was working film.

SPEAKER_00

Like I turn around, I'm like, certain days obviously, then I go to Matt's house when he's off for the weekend, and it messes up my schedule because again, it's weird days. But I'm like, how is tomorrow already Thursday?

SPEAKER_03

I actually asked Paul before you came over. I said, today, what did I say? I go tomorrow's Wednesday, right? He goes, No, tomorrow's Thursday.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, oh that's when you were saying yesterday, I think, at first, before I said something about my mom or whatever. And that's why I was like, I'm like thinking, I'm like, wait, did she think it I'm coming today? I'm like, wait, we said Wednesday, right?

SPEAKER_04

I I literally had to look at my phone to see what day it was. I'm like, I'm like, okay, because I used to coming home on Sunday instead of Monday, and it just messes up my whole schedule.

SPEAKER_03

But I'm like, how's tomorrow already Thursday? It's Thursday, and she's gonna wake up blonde. I know. She went, yeah, go to sleep.

SPEAKER_04

Well no, Goldilocks, but last night I did.

SPEAKER_03
