Our return to Goodrich Cemetery in Bruce Township spiraled from a routine night investigation into a layered mystery where human history collides with something that refuses to act human. We followed names—Thomas, Timothy, Catherine—through Find a Grave while the cemetery answered with loud hits on the truck, a clear male scream on playback, and a shadow that slipped between headstones like it knew the map better than we did.
We unpack the original “crawler” encounter near the flagpole—eyes like snowy TV screens, a long body that rose and watched—and compare it with fresh activity: running footfalls around the vehicle, tree branches snapping without wind, and that unmistakable breathing while both of us stood outside with the doors locked. The language shifted too. Replies referenced crossing over, “hidden here,” and then darker markers: lizard man, Abaddon, scythe, banshee, even “El Cucuy,” pointing us from standard ghost lore toward elemental or cryptid territory. Our friend Tom’s theory of a localized, non-human entity gained traction as we asked direct questions about origin, boundaries, and whether this land carries a curse.

We love those topics. And you know, if you think about it, it's because the truth is stranger and more deranged than you can even think. So let's really top this one off with October. Well, it is now October 13th. It's 1129 p.m. 13th's my favorite number, it's my lucky number. So let's go. Okay, so we are going to revisit Goodridge Cemetery in Almont, Michigan. Now we've had some experiences out there. Well, you know all of us, we love these cemeteries, and um, besides this one, it was always pioneer where we had all the experiences. But, anyways, if you look up Goodrich Cemetery, Almont, Michigan, um, this is what the AI overview says. It says, yes, the area ground Goodrich Cemetery is considered haunted. Those specific reports are not from the cemetery itself. Now, they're going off my podcast, and we'll it actually we'll get into that, but we did report that the actual cemetery is where we've seen this quote-unquote crawler. It has been subject of paranormal investigation, and one podcast recounts a sighting of a crawler creature in the vicinity. Other local legends and alleged paranormal activity have been reported, but it's important to note that these are, you know, based on basically your opinions and when you were out there, and they're not officially confirmed. Because why? Nobody is an ex expert in the paranormal field. Now, it shows reported activity. One podcast, Strange Strange Beyond Insane, details an alleged encounter with a creature called a crawler. Now, we just called it a crawler. Um, that's not a scientific name. Anyways, it says um that it's described as a smoky, slinky entity with static like eyes, which they experience near Goodridge. See, you know how it realize how it says like near Goodridge Cemetery, because they don't want to give the cemetery a bad name. But it was literally inside the cemetery underneath the flagpole with the light. Um it says other reports. The same podcast mentions other harrowing tales of paranormal encounters from various cemeteries in the area, adding a layer of authentic details to the claim of paranormal activity in the Goodrich area. Um I think they're talking about when we were saying like Pioneer is not, I think Pioneer Cemetery is like 20 minutes from there, not even. And then of course it says non-confirmation. While some visitors have reported experiencing a creepy feeling or seeing strange things, others have visited and not experienced any paranormal phenomena. The paranormal claims are not officially confirmed, and the reports are based on individual experiences. Okay. Um, so that is our episode. If you guys want to go back and listen to it, it's from June 5th, 2024, and it's called Face to Face with the Unknown. The crawler in Goodridge Cemetery off Kidder Road. So it is off Kidder Road in Elmont. But, anyways, um, so an old paranormal group that I was a part of doesn't really do anything in the field anymore. Um, they went out one night to the cemetery for, you know, old time's sake and got the shit scared out of them. Um, literally. I think one girl almost passed out and felt really sick, yada yada yada. So word spread, and they called up my other friend, and they were like, Yeah, we were looking up shit on this Goodrich Cemetery, and there was this really good podcast episode, and we were like, Oh, yeah, that's what we experienced. And then they were like, Oh, we realized that it was Melissa, it was her podcast, and I'm like, that's awesome, right? Um, we're not enemies, we don't, we're not on talking terms, but it's from years ago, you know. Again, it was an old group that I was a part of, and the group kind of like split up and did their own thing, but I just felt that that was so rewarding that they were so interested in that episode, and that it helped confirm what they felt there and what they seen. Um, so, anyways, that was like right after I had the baby. So I think Jack was, I don't know, maybe two weeks old. And I said, you know what? After he's about a month, I want to go out there. And we did. And I could not believe how active it was because we haven't been out there in a while. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna play you guys a series of recordings that I have from you know recent visits, like the last few weeks. Um Carissa was out there with me, also Christina and Tom were out there with me, and Tom is very interested in like figuring out what's going on out there because there's there's a lot going on. So just um sit still and listen to all the chaos. And again, you guys, of course, we get off topic in our conversations, we forget that we're that we are recording, and we're like, oh shit. But it's funny, and I like to keep it authentic, and I really don't like to go through and edit like my recordings too much because I feel like it tells a story, you know, and I want you guys to feel like you're actually there with us, whether it was, you know, two weeks ago or a year ago recording. Sorry you guys, my brain is well, mama mush. Yeah. Okay, so they came out here and had an experience, and I guess they listened to one of our Kidder Road Cemetery episodes. And they felt the need to tell Kiki, and Kiki told me, and I just relayed the message to Krista, and I guess they had some crazy shit happen to them. So we're gonna see if any crazy shit happens to us. And you're gonna hear how ridiculous we are. Yeah, we talk about 20 million things. Brad lost his life. Okay, so Brad again. But the thing is, okay, so you guys, there's this website called Find a Grave, and I use it religiously when we go out. I try finding the names that are coming out, and unfortunately, I haven't I did not see a Brad. I wonder if I try Brad as the last name or Bradley. I'm resting at the back. Oh. Okay. I know we've talked about it before, but I think our biggest fear is not the paranormal when we go investigating. Our biggest fear is finding somebody deceased in the cemetery. And it just happened. I literally was talking to Paul about that earlier today. I'm like, I've been telling Carissa for years. Our biggest fear. And I told Paul, I said, if that happens, we're gonna have to call 911. We're gonna get a question. He's like, Oh, I know you won't be home right away. I'd straight up tell him, Look, we got kids at home, so we're gonna tell you what happened. But I told Paul, I should have my body cam on. Yeah. Because at least that'd be evidence. Like, hey, look, you could literally see us walking. Like we had, you know. And like, we know we have nothing to do with anything. Like, that's not the issue. The issue is you still have to go in, you have to be questioned. Questioned, yeah. You know, then you have to be on tra like pray for a trial. If there were if it was homicidal or something. Right. You're definitely gonna be a per person of interest. Yeah. 100%. I thought it was really cool when we went to Fairfield Infirmary where we learned about the cemetery. And that's probably like that everywhere. What, where they bury the patients? So I had this fear that this tree was gonna like rip out and fall on top of me while peeing. And now listening back to this, you can actually hear the branches snapping. Okay, and that breathing that you hear is not her or I. We are both outside of the truck, and you can hear the lock. Like clearly, it's not us. Sorry if you guys hear the baby a little bit. I don't know if you guys can hear it from upstairs, but he's had a fussy night and dad is up there with him, so I can podcast. But, anyways, I'm gonna rewind this again so that you guys can hear this breathing. Now, keep in mind this has happened plenty of times on one of the older podcasts over a year ago when Chris and I got out of the truck, and you can hear the locking thing that happens when you get out with a key fob, and you hear some weird girl say, Well, first you hear the door open, and then you hear her say, Oh, hello. Like, same thing. You can hear this thing breathing. Let me play it back again. Oh my god. Again. Now you can hear us getting back into the truck, so you know it wasn't us. Very creepy. Okay, not yet. And you can still hear it breathing.
SPEAKER_03:And then a random dog. Dude, did you hear that? That was the tree. That was fucking so loud. And we would have heard we had not heard that once. Yeah, I'm sorry. Woo!
SPEAKER_02:Oh my god, you guys. Something was like knocking at the tree and like shaking it, you know, it's peeing underneath of it.
SPEAKER_03:I mean, we would my window, I would hear it. I did not hear that once.
SPEAKER_02:So I'm gonna stop this episode right here because clearly there's a lot going on. And again, um, I usually put my live recordings right on to the podcast for like a blind reveal, even for us, because instead of having to go through evidence twice, listening to it, editing it, then putting it on the podcast, I like it again to be authentic and raw. So I just play it right on to the microphone without even me listening to what you know, anything that happened that night. Um, clearly you can hear a man breathing, very creepy. So there's still some evidence that we have to go through, but our conclusion on all of us, so it would be myself, Tom, Krissa, and Christina. We definitely think something non-human is out there. Well, we know there is. Um the backstory behind it, I have no idea. We did all talk about going to the library out there and trying to find some facts, actual facts, to see, you know, what that land was before, um, the land around it, farmland, or this or that, or you know, just anything that we can dig up and do a deep dive and kind of try to understand this more.
