Strange Deranged Beyond Insane
Live Recordings from Chicago's Showmen's Rest To Ohio's Fair County Poor House Ghost Hunt Gone Wrong: The 4AM Evacuation Pt. 2
From circus tragedies to abandoned poorhouses, our Midwest paranormal journey uncovered unsettling history and unexplainable encounters at every turn.
The twisted tale begins at Showman's Rest in Forest Park, Illinois – the final home of circus performers killed in a catastrophic 1918 train collision. Here, five stone elephants stand with lowered trunks in eternal mourning over graves marked only with circus nicknames like "Baldy" and "Smiley." Our ghost tube sessions captured numerous responses, though contrary to popular legend, we found no evidence of the rumored "evil clown" – just the echoes of those who died tragically but aren't malevolent in nature.
Things took a surreal turn after visiting a small Mexican restaurant where staff locked doors behind us, turning others away. After eating, we experienced unnatural exhaustion, and strangest of all – though billed around $90, the charge never appeared on the credit card statement. We later couldn't even locate the restaurant on maps, as if dining in some liminal space between worlds.
At the Fairfield County Poorhouse in Ohio, we delved into 157 years of suffering within its walls. Built in 1828, this imposing structure housed the county's poor, mentally ill, and physically disabled until 1985. Our tour guide revealed the shocking discovery of 1,600 unmarked graves beyond the registered cemetery, where bodies were buried standing upright to save space – a practice seemingly unique to this location.
The investigation reached its terrifying climax at 4AM when heavy footsteps tracked back and forth above us in the empty attic. We fled down a fire escape, debating whether we'd encountered an intruder or a powerful manifestation. As we staked out the building from outside, flashlights swept the upper floors while adrenaline coursed through our veins.
These Midwest hauntings remind us that history's forgotten chapters often leave the deepest impressions on the veil between worlds. What spirits would you hope to encounter on your paranormal journey?
Hey everyone, welcome back to Strange, strange Beyond Insane. So tonight I am going to basically do both part twos of the Chicago trip with Teresa and then the trip with Carissa to Ohio. I just figured I'd kind of combine them, so I'll kind of be in between talking with these videos, you know, like the recording, so that you guys kind of know which one's which and what's going on and what we're doing. All right, you guys. So I am going to play a slew of recordings from my ghost tube app.
Speaker 1:When I was in Chicago with Teresa, when we were at the showman's cemetery the one with the clowns Also we went to an antique store and we got some stuff. I did buy another Ouija board. I think it's dated like 1965. So I and this video right now that I'm about to play I did have the Ouija board in front of the clown Baldi's grave. So let me get this set up for you guys. Hey, baldi, can you move that for me? I'd like to ask you yes or no questions, if that's okay. We're only here to chat. Only love and light can surround us. Nothing can leave with us, touch us, come home with us. What date is it? Is it the 5th? No, I think it's the 6th. It is april 6, 2025 6, 2025.
Speaker 2:Did you hear that?
Speaker 3:It's like screaming oh, it's a plane no.
Speaker 1:I can hear the plane. It's like screaming in the background. See, I can't hear that. That's why you want the Teresa's wearing the headphones noise canceling. Baldy, can you please move? Can you move that around the board to show me that you're with us?
Speaker 4:Your ambulance, Okay so that's not important.
Speaker 1:Can you touch that little kid toy Homeless? Yes, were you homeless before you got onto the train? Actually, let me confirm who am I talking with? Can I please have a name? We'd like to contact someone from the train wreck, one of the clowns. Well, you know years ago.
Speaker 3:The homeless people stick around trains, right? They?
Speaker 4:climb into the carts. Yeah, they're homeless. So when that train accident happened, some of the people on there could have been homeless. That's why they have unknown mail.
Speaker 3:Unknown mail True.
Speaker 1:I don't know if that's a D or a W. I don't know, i's a.
Speaker 2:D or a W, I don't know. I was trying to figure it out. It's Old English for sure, though. It said dig. It said that.
Speaker 1:Wow, no, we're not going to dig. That's illegal. I would totally do it if it was legal for you. We can't do that, though. That's not that I smell a cigar Smell that I smell something too.
Speaker 3:It's a cigar.
Speaker 1:That's what they smoke cigars, mm-hmm. Well, wouldn't they call them cigarillos, yeah?
Speaker 4:I still smell it yeah.
Speaker 1:It's close. Whoever it is, can we please have a name? Even if it was your clown name, you don't have to give us your real name. I would really love to have confirmation today. You know what? Hold on, I'm going to have Teresa take the phone and I'm going to go get you some presents and I'm going to leave them here, okay, okay, is anybody calling heads? It said Neil, neil, neil, we're not supposed to do that. Where do you want me to?
Speaker 5:kneel at. How's that?
Speaker 3:Okay, guys, we came all this way to see you and hear you Heads or tails Three.
Speaker 5:Okay, guys, we came all this way to see you and hear you Head through tails Three, three tails, three tails Three One, two, three, two, three, two, three, two, three, two, two, two, two, two.
Speaker 4:Two, two.
Speaker 5:Two, two.
Speaker 4:Two, two, two. These headphones are cool.
Speaker 3:It doesn't record what it says on here, does it yeah? Oh, it does yeah.
Speaker 1:Yep For a horse driver, bring it over by here.
Speaker 4:We'll communicate with each other. Are you up?
Speaker 1:Are you up? We're up. Scary, it's scary. Can you please have a name for confirmation please?
Speaker 3:I didn't get that, ronnie.
Speaker 1:I heard Ronnie. Was there a Ronnie Ronald? Who is the evil clown that they talk of? The bad clown? Is there a bad clown? I don't believe there's an evil clown here.
Speaker 4:I think there's a pissed off clown Nurse.
Speaker 1:Nurse, nurse. I don't believe any spirit's evil. Ron, again, who's?
Speaker 5:Ron.
Speaker 1:Ron again.
Speaker 5:Who's Ron?
Speaker 1:You're checking. I don't believe there's a bad clown. I don't believe there's a bad clown, I think there's a pissed off clown.
Speaker 5:That don't make you evil though.
Speaker 1:Did you hear me? Yeah me, no, we don't do evil, not in the afterworld. Daughter, daughter, okay, where's your daughter at? Was your daughter traveling with you? Could have been Sophia. No, because that's um. Well, you have to work with the clowns.
Speaker 4:Who's Baba, baba, who's Baba? I heard please.
Speaker 2:Do you like shiny coins Heads?
Speaker 5:or tails.
Speaker 1:Heads or tails. Oh, that's heads.
Speaker 3:You got a head, you there, right here.
Speaker 5:You, there, you're crying.
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 4:Unknown male. Unknown male, 41,. Can you tell me your name? This is Kitchen. Can you tell me your name?
Speaker 5:It says kitchen Can you tell me your name, please.
Speaker 3:I heard that Unknown male Number 39. Can you tell me your name? I skipped one moron.
Speaker 4:I skipped one, so they called me a moron. I'm sorry, did I skipped?
Speaker 3:one, so they called me a moron, I'm sorry. Did, did what? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you, I didn't mean to skip you skip you.
Speaker 4:This is saying stuff that's not coming up on the phone.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they call me, listen, Did it.
Speaker 4:Chicago.
Speaker 2:Yes.
Speaker 1:Are you going to be my care?
Speaker 3:right now. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to skip you. I'm not on the L44. Can you tell me your name? Nothing, nothing, okay.
Speaker 4:What about unknown me on 45? Can you tell me your name?
Speaker 3:Here you talk to her over here. Okay, unknown male, number 46. Can you tell me her? I'm not sure. Huh, I'm not sure. You're not sure what your name is. I can't hear you Sometimes. We're a couple of minutes, yeah.
Speaker 4:All right.
Speaker 1:If I throw a dime and it lands on your tomb, will you talk to me please?
Speaker 4:Said you both, you want me to throw one too, both of you.
Speaker 1:Okay, I got a penny, a shiny penny, and a dime.
Speaker 3:Nice, shiny penny.
Speaker 1:Okay, one, two, three.
Speaker 3:Let's try that again don't come in. Don't come in where I don't know. I just want to walk my cave where's your cave?
Speaker 1:alright, you guys. So we did take some recordings inside of the hotel too. But before I get into that, I do want to just kind of go over with you guys where we went. So the cemetery that you guys were just hearing the lives from that's called the Showman's Rest and it's in Forest Park, illinois, all right. So the tragedy behind it is again.
Speaker 1:Just to kind of recap, back in the early 1900s, running away to join the circus wasn't just a tale parents told their kids. It was a genuine lifestyle. People from all walks of life joined these traveling shows, finding community under the big top. Life in the circus meant adventure and, for many, a sense of belonging where they couldn't find it anywhere else. But as thrilling as it was, it was also a hard, demanding life, filled with dangers both on and off stage. And in the early hours of June 22, 1918, those dangers accumulated in the form of one and one of the deadliest train wrecks in the US history. So the Hagenbeck-Wck Wallace Circus, a well-known circus traveling across the Midwest, had just finished a performance in Michigan City, indiana, and was en route to their next stop in Hammond. The performers and workers were fast asleep in their wooden sleeping cars.
Speaker 1:When disaster struck An empty troop train barreling down the tracks from Michigan. Its engineer, alonzo Sargent, having fallen asleep at the controls, plowed into the rear of a circus train. The impact was devastating. The wooden train cars were no match for the force and they quickly splintered and burst into flames. In the moments between 56 and 61, lives, basically, were lost. So there were performers, workers and animals. That fire that followed the crash was so intense that identifying the bodies was nearly impossible. Among the dead were Arthur de Crix and Max Nitzborn of the Great Durex Brothers strongman act of Jenny Ward Todd of the Flying Wards. Many of the victims were buried with simple grave markers labeled, I'm sorry, unidentified male or inscribed only with their circus nicknames, like Baldy and Smiley. So the symbolism of the elephants. Again you guys. At this cemetery, in this exact location of the cemetery, just for the circus performers, the five majestic elephant statues stand solemnly over the graves of the circus performers, with a foot placed gently on a ball and trunks lowered in posture of mourning. These elephants carved from stone aren't just a tribute to the circus itself, but a symbolic representation of the grief and loss experienced by the circus community. In circus culture, elephants have always been a symbol of strength, intelligence and loyalty, making them a very fitting guardian for the resting souls of those who dedicated their lives to the Big Top.
Speaker 1:So I'm going to say this I do not think that there is an evil clown out there. I think a lot of you know paranormal enthusiasts or excuse my French jackasses go out to the cemetery and they like to. You know mess, mess around, you know, kind of like fuck around and find out. I think that they want something evil to happen there and you know you never want to antagonize the afterlife whenever you're doing whether you're doing an investigation, whether it's for fun or you're with a group you know, or to actually accumulate some evidence and understand the backstory. I do believe how they died was very tragic and I think clowns even back then were looked at like people laughed at them, you know, and that, like I even read, it was a hard life for them. So I believe it's very tragic and I think that cemetery is amazing. It's very well kept. I'm glad that they have their own area. I hate that we couldn't get a lot of names. You know a lot of, basically John Does and, I'm sure, jane Does, and they just have numbers. I think that's really sad, but, however, I will say from my own experience and from the evidence that I have accumulated, I do not believe that there is an evil clown in that cemetery. An evil clown in that cemetery, all right.
Speaker 1:So Teresa shared some disturbing facts with me the other day because she said on the podcast, when we were on here talking about this, that she knew she was going to forget a bunch of stuff and then it would like come to her a few days later, okay. So this hotel that we stayed at, just to recap on it, it was the Hilton by Embassy Chicago Suite. Let me see exactly which one Hold on. Okay, I didn't want to screw it up, so it's Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago downtown, river North. This was a crazy stay. So, besides all this shit at at the hotel we talked about this you know the man that I didn't see that she's seen three times okay, so when we left there to travel back home with her daughter, natalie, I don't know why we agreed on Mexican. That was weird that we went for Mexican, because we normally would have just went to like some diner.
Speaker 1:So, anyways, we find this Mexican restaurant that was right off the main road, very small, like hole in the wall. I figured, okay, cool. And then there was some. There's some gambling ports in there too, because it's legal there in restaurants to gamble on, you know, like slot machines. So Teresa's anxiety was at an all time high, which I understand.
Speaker 1:Now. Usually I'm just as observant, if not more, than you know, like anybody around me, but she's very observant too. So definitely met my match when I started hanging out with Teresa. So, anyways, she got very high strung and she was like she bitched at me in the restaurant. I was like, fuck you. She went to the bathroom. She came back. All I know is that our food came. I just figured everybody's tired.
Speaker 1:She's like telling me all this shit. She's like you don't remember the chef coming out, the big, the big old guy. Um, she's like you don't remember the, our waiter, locking the doors behind us and then people were banging on the windows and or, I'm sorry, the glass doors, and he'd go out there and then say something and then lock the doors again. She's like you don't remember me talking to the guy and saying, hey, like, why are you locking the doors If you guys don't close till nine? It's like six, 37. And he told her that they ran out of food, but like they're bringing us out all of our food, right, I'm like I don't fucking remember this.
Speaker 1:She's like, how do you not remember this? I'm like I don't even think I like seen this or like heard this guy and I, and I was telling her the other day, I'm like the only thing I remember is the guy sitting behind you, um, eating his Mexican soup and watching, I think, think, youtube. It was like Mexican YouTube because it's all in Spanish and he had, you know, the volume up. But anyways, she just said that she felt really uneasy and she's like that's why I was flipping out. And I was like, okay, I didn't know that, I didn't realize that. And then she said something, told her not to eat the food because she wasn't eating, and I thought it was like her GERD acting up so she couldn't eat it. Um, but me and Natalie, of course, were eating.
Speaker 1:So the strangest thing is that when we left there, teresa was trying to apologize in the truck for, you know, being bitchy, whatever, everybody gets bitchy on vacation. But I was like, whatever, I'm like don't ever yell, like yell at me, like, like in public, like that was fucked up, you know, and she was like I'm sorry, I was just really uneasy and I was like whatever, I'm like let's just drive home. And then we eventually started talking, obviously because you know how girls are, we're you know everyone's high strung, everyone. You know you're tired, you've whatever. So all of a sudden Natalie passes out in the back Cause. I remember saying to Teresa I'm like Natalie's really quiet, does she have her headphones on? And Teresa's like dude, she's passed out.
Speaker 1:And then shortly after that, I was like I could not fucking keep my eyes open, like I literally was like I don't know why, I'm tired, like this is weird. And Teresa's like you need to pull over. So I did, and we were like hanging out in this parking lot and I was like just give me like 10 minutes to sleep. And Teresa's like I don't know, I just feel weird. She's like let's just go to the hotel across the street and sleep for a couple hours. I'm like, okay, that sounds awesome. So, that sounds awesome. So we go check into this hotel and we sleep. And I think I got like three or four hours of sleep.
Speaker 1:But so now Teresa is telling me all this stuff, right, and she's like this is why I wouldn't fucking eat the food. She's like I felt really weird. I felt like they weren't going to let us leave and I'm like, well, that's weird that me and Natalie got really tired right after and we ate Like that's weird, right, okay. So then Teresa tells me she's like the money that you gave me your cash for your half. She's like I just used it as a tip. She goes.
Speaker 1:So I get the bill and she goes it's like 90 something dollars. And I was like there's no fucking way that was 90 something dollars. It's a hole in the wall. Fucking Mexican place Like at the most for all three of us. All we got was like beer, tacos with like the beans and the rice.
Speaker 1:She's like, yeah, but Natalie added on like two pops and had this and that I said Teresa, that still would not have been $92 like or 91 something. She's like okay, but here's the weirdest part, right, she goes. I put it on my card and she's like I was telling Dave, her husband, she's like I wanted to make sure that everything was okay and that they didn't like scam me or like add more. She goes, I just did it. She goes.
Speaker 1:I felt really high strung there. The fucking bill never was on her card and I'm like what do you mean? Like so they never took it out. She's like it never went through. She's like I kind of feel like we never even went there and I'm like we definitely went there. And she's like can you remember what that place is called? I was like no, and I didn't have any pictures. And then she was trying to find places around that cemetery that would like match up. She's like I could not find it at all. She's like I couldn't find anything like that and I'm like this is fucking strange. So that trip was strange and again we we were not going to like a paranormal trip. We were taking her daughter to the hair show and the only thing spooky that we were going to do is that on the way out we wanted to go to that cemetery to see the clowns. That was it. So, anyways, that's the second part to the Chicago trip and now let's get into spooky trip with Carissa in Ohio a couple weeks ago.
Speaker 2:Built in 1828. It was used as the county poor farm, slash county home, slash infirmary from 1828 until 1985. Wow, yep, in 86, the health department took it over and it was used as the health department, wic, children's services, you name it.
Speaker 5:Everywhere, yep.
Speaker 2:You name it All the way up until 2013. It's not abandoned until 2018. When Habitat for Humanity took the property over, they did a haunted house here, just tried to raise money because they essentially wanted to use it as a place for people who were homeless to have a place to live. It didn't really work out for them. We don't know if it was poor management of the money or poor timing, because people didn't really know what was going on here. They weren't really publicizing it until right before Halloween, sure. So then they lost it in 2020, and February was when Adam was officially able to buy it in 2020. So we've had the building for just a little over five years now.
Speaker 2:Investigations, which you guys have been here, so you guys know what the building's all about. Um, but down here would have been mostly like an administration type area. There's a doctor's office, the morgue is down here. The room across the hall is actually the funeral parlor. So back in the 1800s and early 1900s, prior to funeral homes being built, not only could the residents who lived here use the funeral parlor, but the county residents were allowed to use the funeral parlor if they didn't want to have them in their homes at that time, this bump out area, so this room, the room right next to us and the funeral parlor rooms could also be used by the superintendents of the building. So if they needed to sleep here overnight, if they had to have their family stay with them overnight because they needed to be in the building for some reason prior to 1920, this would be the area that would have been their residential space In 1920, though the house that you see on the property was actually built for their superintendents to permanently live on property.
Speaker 2:Yes, the house is haunted. No, you don't have access to it. That is actually adam's personal living space when he is in town, so nice cool, that's a good idea.
Speaker 2:Yep, just like at madison, because the back house at madison was built and when that was built, that became a personal living space for him. So, um, which madison's amazing. If you two haven't been to syria, I've been, these two have been. So I know, oh yeah, I don't, but, um, what a jerk. That's fine. So, yes, so 1920s was when that house would have been built, from 1920 until 1985, that's where all the superintendents lived there are two known deaths inside of the house, both from superintendents.
Speaker 2:One of them was from a natural cause slash illness and then the other one was self-inflicted. After that the house was used, when the health department owned the building, by ham radio enthusiasts. That was where they did all their ham radio stuff, which is the reason why you see the big antenna that's over there. Um, after that, habitat didn't do anything with it, as far as we have been able to find out, and then it's a personal living space. Now let's go to the doctor's office and then the morgue. This can be a hot spot. Fyi, it just depends on the moods of the spirits. I actually had that door open on me when I shut it one night, by yourself. No, me and my best friend, we were the only two in the building.
Speaker 1:Okay, yeah Well, they're gonna mess with us tonight because there's only four of us. Oh, this is cool, nice.
Speaker 3:I've never been in here when it's bright, I know right. It's a totally different vibe, like oh yeah, yeah, yeah, this isn't scary, because you guys, when you guys were here, you didn't come in until later.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it starts at like 10. Yeah, yeah, we let people with privates start anytime after 5 pm, so whenever they want to come, they can come. I think I did one of your guys's times here, didn't I? Probably? I think I did at least one, because you guys have been here like two or three times, right? Yeah, so I did one of your guys's I think the other one I gave what? I gave to one of my guys because I think I was out of town for one of your guys's, which one?
Speaker 1:But totally different vibe when it's light out's definitely less skittering right now oh yeah, that's how eloise does, still, when I would do the tours there when it's light out it's so much different so this was used as the doctor's office during the time of the poor farm um after that though the health department actually used this as a break room, so that's the reason why the shelves came in and the sink came in is because this was used as their break room.
Speaker 2:There's actually a doorway behind that sink. That's in the room next door and I'll show you guys where that is.
Speaker 2:that would have been the doorway that uh, county residents not the people who lived in the building, but actual lancaster city and or fairfield county residents they would have waited in that room next door as their waiting room, because there's a door that goes to the outside. And then the residents who actually lived in this building would have waited in that room next door to be able to see the doctor, because he wasn't just the doctor for the building, he was the entire county's doctor, really. Yep, that's a job Right. So if he had to spend a day here inside the building, that's why they would allow county residents to be able to come see him if they needed to.
Speaker 2:Um, apparitions are well known in this area and out in the hallway. That is some of the big hot spot stuff people have happen. Down here can have also a plethora of shadow play, but the entire building has a lot of shadow play, so if you see something out of the corner of your eye you're probably seeing it. We've actually watched it full vision up on the top floors. A lot of us crew members will just sit and literally watch them cross the hallways.
Speaker 2:I don't know if you guys saw any of them when you were here. I don't think I have. Yeah, so it can get interesting in here. Have you seen a hat man shadow here yet? No, no, the one shadow that everybody talks about here is the seven foot tall shadow. Yeah, the tall.
Speaker 1:You don't see the hat on him.
Speaker 2:Oh, I hope we get that. I hope no. I have never even heard of anybody talk about a hat on him. Do they have any on shadows? Oh, you're going to have to look it up. I got a lot of pictures, usually in hospitals, yeah, not really here. I haven't really heard of it here Now. Other places I've been to yeah, I've seen shadow figures with hats on it, louise, for instance. They get really tall like seven feet Yep.
Speaker 2:Yep, so we'll head into the one way. We're not sure if you guys have any stories. Actually, if you even speak of the hat man, he usually shows you Whoops, good job.
Speaker 1:Oh, don't act like you want to be excited. He went, so that's okay.
Speaker 2:So, right, where that doorway is Is where the sink is, is where the sink is, yep. Oh, there's the door to the Yep, to the outside. So this one has just been a waiting room. Now we have it set up as our little kitchen area Because we know there would have been a kitchen down here at one point, because the property was originally 140 acres. One point because the property was originally 140 acres. So everything you see around us, from the top of the hill up there to the tree line that's on the other side of the dog pound, that was the property line both on this side and that side of the road.
Speaker 5:Um, you know, there were other buildings on property, like kitchen building a laundry building.
Speaker 2:There was the farm that was actually across the road.
Speaker 2:So there would have been farm buildings and all that over there. But in the later years, as the building started to get torn down and they started selling off property, they brought a lot of stuff into here. So the laundry room would have came in here, the kitchen would have come in here, so we know this floor would have changed to a lot of that stuff. We're just not as sure where exactly down here because they didn't really have diagrams and that stuff and planograms for it. So but this room the reason why I'm showing it to you guys if you see anything on Facebook or on YouTube here recently a lot of crew members have had experience in this room that they call a monkey figure. This is why this room has been deemed like the monkey room. They said that the figure came down, looked like it was hanging like a monkey and then swung across the way.
Speaker 1:Uh I wonder if someone had a monkey here I don't know, because I don't know.
Speaker 2:We've had like dog barking and stuff, but we also had a dog pound just two plots over from us. We don't know if any dogs have died over there.
Speaker 4:It's really, it's really hard, people have had dog barking on spirit boxes.
Speaker 2:People have heard dogs barking, which with it being right there. Sometimes you can hear them inside the building a lot of the time you cannot hear those dogs. There's a piece right here. It's a window that shows the original 1828 piece of the building, so you guys are able to see that right there. It's been a while since I've actually mentioned that. I think I just had a great part of the got better there like I said, I've been doing these for five years.
Speaker 5:There's so much that.
Speaker 2:I used to tell people on the tours and there's so much more stuff.
Speaker 1:We found out recently that he's trying to make sure I fit it all in. Of course, I'm always the last one up because I got to get my pictures. Do you have so many people tell us that you're going to get a hand out of me?
Speaker 2:Okay, because of the long hauls and twisted hauls, I got to sit for a minute. We also have people say that it reminds them of the Winchester Mystery House, because the stairs. They go to nowhere.
Speaker 1:Oh, you have stairs that go to nowhere. Yep, that reminds me of Stimson Hospital.
Speaker 2:We were so tripped out when we stayed there. So the only reason why it was like that is because these steps used to wrap originally all the way around. When the health department came in here in 86, they had to close them off as a fire. Oh yeah, because they needed these big metal doors to block it off in case there was a fire in the stairwell Somewhere lighted. There's no window in that day room because they turned that into a residence room. So and I'll show you guys, the men's one when we go upstairs, because that one's the easier one to tell they also were not allowed to curse. They were not allowed to leave the institution without permission.
Speaker 2:They had to be cleanly, they had to do a job whether it be taking care of the farm or taking care of a person who physically could not take care of themselves or any other side ends and jobs that the superintendent and the matron of the house, which was the superintendent's wife, needed you to do. If you didn't do any of those things, that's when you would get put in the jail cells or the dungeons. Now, the jail cell would hold people for up to 24 hours. After that 24 hour period, if you still didn't want to listen to the rules or you got physically violent with a staff member or other resident, that's when they would put you in the dungeon.
Speaker 2:During the time frame of the poor farm, though, they were not called residents, they were actually called inmates. I don't like that word. I'm a past corrections officer and I feel like the spirits of this building are not like inmates to me. So I always called it residents, because in the later years, the 50s and 60s that's when they turned to residents, and then in the 70s and 80s, they called them patients, because a lot of the residents were older generation that had lived here their entire lives. Okay, so I like to stay mainframe with residents, because they lived here. This was their home, they were a resident of this place. Quick question.
Speaker 1:So the like mentally ill and violent, all of them were staggered together. They didn't have separate quarters. Yep, okay violent.
Speaker 2:All of them were staggered together. They didn't have separate quarters. Yep, okay. The only time that there would have been any type of separation of those residents was when people who didn't have day-to-day activity inside the building county commissioners, mayors, anything like that they would come in and if you were physically violent due to your mental health, they would lock you up out of sight, out of mind, upstairs in the very top, which I'll show you, guys, where. That was as well, okay, but that's the only time that they actually would separate them, other than that they were always around each other, constantly okay, that's a lot different than we're any other place we've been to yep, I like that.
Speaker 2:We've had multiple deaths here in the building, not just from illnesses, but we've had people who have caught on fire.
Speaker 3:We have people who have seen that yeah, jane householder, I'll talk about her here shortly um we've had people who've caught on fire.
Speaker 2:We have had people get their throats slit. We have had people jump off the roof as well, so there's multiple reasons that they would have died here now. Jane householder. What happened with jane was she had been sick. She told the nurses that she wanted to go to the day room to get out of her room, because she needed to get out of her room for a little bit. They told her no, she did it anyway. She went to one of the day rooms. We're not entirely sure which one it was. It could have been on this floor, could have been on the third floor.
Speaker 4:But she went into the day room.
Speaker 2:She was messing with the fire and it kicked back onto her dress accidentally Back in 1927, your dresses were completely made of wool, so she engulfed into flames. She ran into an adjacent room, which there are four rooms that are adjacent by our terms of adjacent, where there's the door that takes you into each room. So it could have been these two rooms or the two rooms upstairs, but back in those days we could have been adjacent across the hallway too. So that's why we say we're not sure which of the three day rooms down here or the three upstairs. It was um, but she ran into the adjacent room and she fell down to the ground and they put her out after. They heard her screaming, but they could not tell that she even had the dress on anymore and her body was completely charred.
Speaker 2:Took her nine hours, though, before she died here inside of the building. Oh God, her birthday just passed in, or no? Her birthday is coming up. Her birthday is in three weeks. It's June 2nd. Her death date just passed. Passed, though, that was March. I'm going to go to the bathroom. These freezers they were in Bonnie's room Lays, both of them, yeah. So we found paperwork stating not only did they hold bodies inside these floors, they also held food at one of their head-to-mind side floors.
Speaker 2:We know that one side would have been used for the kids' bodies. The other side would have been for adults.
Speaker 2:It wouldn't have held them for very long, especially if they were burying them in the pauper cemetery out back. But in the winter months, when they couldn't bury people out back, then that's when they would keep them in here for a longer time because they didn't have the equipment that we have today to be able to do it. We also know that people who did die here, but they weren't buried in our cemetery. They would be kept in here for 24 to 48 hours before families would have gotten them. So it would have been long periods of time. Bodies would have been cleaned of these basins that I'm sitting on. So these are the only things still original to the building. Since I said, everything wasn't original, this is the only original thing left besides the bind floors and this. Yeah, so they were clean the body's in here.
Speaker 2:We also found paperwork stating that food was clean in these at one point in time as well, this is nice, yep.
Speaker 2:The spring that you guys can hear runs directly through the bottom of the building down to the creek that's behind the university, across the street, and we found an article from 1926 that stated that there was a formaldehyde poisoning that not only happened inside of the creek but happened in the entire city due to the runoff going down into that creek. Oh, I don't know how they didn't find it prior to 1926. That's crazy. My guess is that the water treatment plant was built in 1926. So I'm guessing that that's probably why they didn't really know. I didn't that. That's probably why they didn't really know. Um, but they found that out, they had them relay the piping so it wouldn't divert into, like this portion wouldn't divert into the screen window right here.
Speaker 1:So they just replaced me with a new one. All right, you guys, I have to interrupt right here. Besides the background noise that you're hearing, and you're hearing me snap pictures, so I apologize, but anyways, she's talking about in the 1920s, where the pipes were contaminated and then the water ran off and contaminated even more running water and people and blah, blah. Okay, so that comes to my theory that horror movies are all made from somewhere, right? Just like folklores, like they come from someplace, right. And I have to.
Speaker 1:I have to add this, that this reminds me of the movie Cabin Fever in 2002. All right, so if you guys remember this movie, it's basically about a group of college friends that rent a cabin in the woods and, unknowingly, they had no idea that the water was contaminated. And when a man shows up with a flesh eating disease and he dies and then his body falls into the water reservoir and then they all end up getting contaminated, it's like a psychological horror, fucked up movie, but that's all I can think about. When she was talking about these nasty pipes and how it contaminated all the water.
Speaker 2:What the hell? That's cool. I didn't even know about the four years ago. It won't let me down. You can see the inside About 3,000. Oh no, she doesn't make that type. There's an estimated 1,200 in the actual registered cemetery and in 2018, they took ground-penetrating radar out in the back hill that's not marked as a registered cemetery and actually found 1,600 other anomalies. So there's jumping bodies back there. 1,600? Yes, the actual estimated registered cemetery has about 1,200. But they found another 1,600?. The actual estimated registered cemetery has about 1,200, but they found another 1,600 outside of the cemetery. Oh my god. So essentially, what happened was and we're the only place I know of in the United States and probably the world, but I know for sure the United States instead of burying them in mass graves, like these places usually did, they actually buried them standing straight up in their own holes.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, yeah, I've never heard that before Safe space.
Speaker 5:Yep.
Speaker 2:Yep. So instead of burying them in mass graves or cremating them, they just dug holes six feet down and just dropped them into the holes. That's the generator.
Speaker 4:Oh yeah, I was like, did I?
Speaker 5:do that.
Speaker 2:That's so cool. No, that is the water suppressant system generator. It's just making sure the water is pushing through. I'm going to go try to get one more picture, if that goes off at all tonight. It usually lasts about 30 seconds. That's not what's up. Yeah, that's so weird.
Speaker 2:That is the only place that I know of, I know for sure in the United States. But the world I've come to reach is in no real. It's definitely advanced further than I know, and I mean we had a mass amount of people die from tuberculosis, which back in those days they actually called it consumption before they called it tuberculosis. We had a mass amount of people die from the fever that I saw. I saw a couple of people that said natural illness. So I don't know if that was an epidemic or it was a natural illness. We had people who were brought here for being insane and they listed their death as insane. So literally there are Right. There's literally a mass amount of reasons why people die and or were brought here. But all of the headstones outside there are only six Out of every person that's buried in that actual cemetery. There are only six headstones. Back in the day, their families actually had to pay for their headstones if their families didn't pay for their headstones or they didn't have any family.
Speaker 2:They were buried with just a marker and we haven't been able to find those markers. We think that maybe erosion over time, not cared for properly, or it could have just been a wooden marker that just went away, so, um, all right.
Speaker 1:So I figured that was like the main points of the tour. Now we're gonna get into live recordings. You know some experiments that we did throughout the night with lisa and her team, um, I believe, the mystic haunts. All right, so her group is called the mystic haunts and I knew it was mystic something, but there's a lot of groups with mystic in it, so I wanted to make sure I was saying it the right way. So you're going to hear her, kind of like, introduce herself, and then she has us all introduce each other, you know ourselves to each other, blah, blah, and then we get right into it. So here we go.
Speaker 3:They double booked us. Like myself, I had a partner get right into it. So here we go, are um? So these guys just end up walking up to the door and I'm like hello, they're like what's going on, ladies? And I'm like, oh, who are you guys? And I was like oh, and then, um, I don't know, they were like we booked and we booked, and so they got booked to stop right and then this one right here he was extremely exhausted because they had done three days in a row, right?
Speaker 3:No, three in like 30 hours. Wow, wow, yeah, and he just had like a baby too. It was like my first time out, yeah, so I totally forgot about that. So we had a lot of stuff happen in just the last hours that we I thought somebody was like pounding on the floor. I have it on video. We were doing the human pendulum with him. We were doing some really crazy shit down there and it sounded like somebody was like stomping upstairs. Which he was up there.
Speaker 4:I keep running up with my. I had you on video. I was like you guys were fucking with us, right?
Speaker 3:He's like no, we weren't doing anything. I was like fuck off.
Speaker 5:You don't like it because you're tired. He's like no, really I didn't do anything.
Speaker 3:So we kind of really did. And then one of their investigate one of their friends. Yeah, it's six, you now only have four. Yeah, one one of them. This was really bad.
Speaker 4:It was because it was bringing up some past trauma that we all knew about in this life that you obviously did not what you were asking and what was coming through obviously the reason I was cancelling headphones. There was no way you could hear us.
Speaker 2:It lined up with some dark.
Speaker 4:That's really crazy. Hold on the very first time that I met you as well, I was under estus in the morgue and it's the first time ever that.
Speaker 3:I think that I've ever had like a spirit guy, because they's the first time ever that I think that I've ever had like a spirit guide because they were talking about a baby that I lost and nobody that was there and it's never happened again.
Speaker 2:It's her, it's her.
Speaker 4:She brings out the he quit. After that I did, I joined her.
Speaker 5:He quit. He quit, I'm sorry.
Speaker 4:He quit up until two months ago the room bought the he quit, he quit.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry he quit up until two months ago, the Roomba died and I couldn't be back in the unit today. Dang, have you guys been to Stimson Hospital yet? You have. Do you have some crazy experiences there too? Yeah, I posted a picture.
Speaker 1:So we were just kind of standing around and you know, bullshitting about our experiences. But if you notice, the one guy said that their other friend quit doing this because there are some personal things that can happen, or there's usually one thing that scares the shit out of you. So I was like talking to them about Simpson, because it was kind of in relation to what she was saying. Holly, one of the women on the team, and then like Carissa had that experience at Madison Seminary. So I just it's really cool, like when you meet people doing this that you've never talked to before, that everyone's had that like one experience.
Speaker 4:Do you, holly, can go behind him? Oh, we're facing this way, yeah, okay, so here goes his job.
Speaker 3:You guys can kind of like stand over here he cannot hear me right now and kind of just watch that the green light will gonna sway. He's gonna do some things okay, so I want you to pay attention.
Speaker 1:You guys are gonna help me and holly, despite for what we're doing. So all right ready all right.
Speaker 1:So she's, um, so Lisa, the head of their group. She basically told us that they know how to do this human pendulum thing, and that is what she is doing right now with one of the guys that are on the tour. So I'm not sure if I mentioned that on this episode, but I know the last episode we were talking about human pendulums, carissa and I. But yeah, so that's what you guys are listening to right now, just to kind of recap. All right, let's get back to it.
Speaker 2:I'm going to stand on this side so that you can see the shadow. I'm just going to do this way. Okay, all right, ready.
Speaker 3:All right, friends, you know the deal. I have a friend standing right here, all right, ready. All right, friends, you know the deal. I have a friend standing right here, not yet. Can you do me a favor and gently push my friend into your? Yes, okay, okay, gently, be easy, can you please do your no? Which way is a no? Thank you, okay, okay, okay. Are you guys excited to have new friends here tonight? You guys have someone to choose from. Yeah, yeah, so that's a yes and that's a no. Okay, okay, I haven't asked the question yet. And that's the question. Do you remember us being here two weeks ago? Is that a yes?
Speaker 4:Yes, I got it both ways. Yeah, you guys asked the ways. Yeah, you guys have questions. Maybe, if you do remember us being here two weeks ago, did you interact with us up here during the same game with different people? No, yes, yes, yeah, okay, well, thank you for playing again. Is there more than one of you right now? Are you the one that keeps playing with the catwalk and the candle? No, yeah, are you mad because we didn't bring you pizza, because we promised next time we came we'd bring pizza? Nope, okay, well, good, because I forgot here's cupcakes.
Speaker 1:How many living people are with us right now? Oh, is there any living people with us right now?
Speaker 4:So my living people. Can I just ask you a question? You mean like us, yeah, okay, okay, I just want to piggyback your question I just want to piggyback your question on yours then. So there are some people out here, so does that mean you physically can't see us Hang on? Of course Are you a child.
Speaker 1:No, I just asked if there was children up here. Oh yeah, and he said yeah. So if you're just sitting down, just sit down, Okay. I was just going to say do you like having visitors up here? Yes, Are you friendly?
Speaker 4:Yes, I am. Are you friendly? I'm serious. How'd it feel? Good I was enjoying the music I don't put on for people. No, it was good, I was jammed, I was trying not to dance.
Speaker 3:I didn't try. We got pretty great dancers. They didn't try to. We got pretty great answers. They didn't remember you. It was a child. They are stuck up here, what else?
Speaker 4:They are not mad that we didn't bring the pizza. I like visitors.
Speaker 1:What about the living? That they say when I asked how many living people are up here or no. Is there living people up here?
Speaker 4:and it said, which made me ask maybe they can't see us, they can just hear us I have that.
Speaker 1:I just like new theory, that's like my.
Speaker 4:That's why I always ask that but I want to say, when we came up here with you, that last time too we asked that too.
Speaker 3:When you hear us, I mean you see us. I mean it's not new, it's just how I feel. Oh yeah, it's what I need more.
Speaker 4:They said the same thing, though that they couldn't see us remember. It was funny. The first song was residual, yeah, so I was like I don't get it, I get.
Speaker 3:So I put this on for like Addie last time because she loves Chris Brown and I just picked that, of course.
Speaker 4:I picked that one. I got it in the blue right. And I was like okay, that's a good one.
Speaker 3:Can you turn that candle back on if you'd like to play again? Or the cat ball? Yeah, the cat ball. There's so many toys down there. We got kids in here. You guys have lots of things to play with I forgot to do something.
Speaker 4:Oh, thank you, Thank you, okay, we'll play again, Don't love when you're canceled.
Speaker 3:You know I took a minute to do this and I forgot, Sorry. We're pretty excited. What we're going to do, I would like to do, is every place, even here. We're going to just go around the room and introduce ourselves.
Speaker 4:We can say our name.
Speaker 3:You can say whatever you want to, but just make sure that you say your name, because it's going to kind of the next thing that we're going to do is going to kind of let them know who we are. But I always like to say we're walking into somebody's house and somebody walks into your house and.
Speaker 3:I'm just like oh, hey, hi. And they're like who are you? So we're here. Even though we're here a lot you know what I mean, and these guys have been here we still like to introduce ourselves, because we're dealing with so many different spirits all the time, right? Sure, we're in their home and, potentially, if they cannot see us, they can only go by what we sound like, yeah, and then to send the name.
Speaker 4:They'll be like oh okay, maybe I do recognize that person, you know, like their voice and name-wise, and name Right, all right spirits.
Speaker 3:So you know, I don't say it's to call brother or sister. Okay, I'll sneak my way back up Loudly, and then I'll stuff.
Speaker 4:Okay, cool. So, spirits, you know I'm Lisa. I'm here quite often, so I'm just going to have my friends go around and say their names. Hi, I'm Caleb. Thank you for allowing us to be here tonight. I'm so excited to just be able to experience you in the most intimate and quiet time. I mean, this is really cool that this is an event and it's just not so damaged. I'm Holly. I took a little break from being here, but I've been here a lot lately, it seems like, and I'll be back more.
Speaker 4:I hope you remember me. I also see you at the Candleback Ball.
Speaker 5:Thank you, but again I'm Holly and.
Speaker 4:I love talking to you. I just don't always love to see you, sorry. I like talking a little toys, so I really like you to touch me or see. I don't see you, but I'm getting better.
Speaker 1:At least she's honest.
Speaker 4:Yep up front uh, my name is armand um, I've been here before. I love this place. Thank you for having us back.
Speaker 1:We come with respect and uh permission from the owners to be here, so please communicate with with us tonight. Hello, I'm Melissa. This is my first time here. Thank you for welcoming us, and we are excited for the rest of the night and a little scared because our two dudes are leaving. I know right, so be nice, please Be gentle.
Speaker 4:Did you say Alyssa or Melissa?
Speaker 1:Melissa.
Speaker 4:Sorry.
Speaker 1:I don't hear tonal wise very well, that's okay, but okay, that's it, your turn.
Speaker 2:I'm Carissa. It's my first time here and I'm excited to see you show yourselves. Let me hear you communicate with me. I'd be very grateful we all would, but not like me. Yeah, thank you have not like me.
Speaker 4:Yeah, thank you. Have a good night. You're the. That's what she.
Speaker 3:yeah, that's what we think we are going to do this one more time, so I'd like to pick one of you, ladies if you'd like to try it.
Speaker 1:Whatever you like to, or you Whatever you want to do, I don't care Whatever you, I would like to, or you Whatever you want to do, no matter what point, I don't care.
Speaker 4:Whatever you want, let the spirits pick. Okay, all right, spirits Challenge accepted the candle, the cat ball, everything is down there. If you would like Melissa to put the headphones on, we're going to count to ten and I need you to set something off. If you would like Carissa to put the headphones on by the time I get to ten, don't have made anything go off. Okay, carissa, is nothing goes off in count to ten? Melissa, is something goes off in count to ten?
Speaker 5:Ready, okay, two, this is Okay, two this is you, it's you, no, it's you, no, no.
Speaker 4:This is your start. All right, you win.
Speaker 1:You got it. You want to buy sunglasses for a minute Sure, and then.
Speaker 5:That was perfect.
Speaker 4:Yeah, it was Okay, she's putting them on. Yeah, it was Okay, she's putting them on Okay it's going to be really rough.
Speaker 3:I'll do residuals, because it's kind of white in the beginning. Yeah, you can tell. Yeah, you can tell yeah, all right, yeah, all right. So, whatever you feel, if you hear things, if it's not a song, let us know. If anything cuts you everything. Just kind of relax things. If it's not a song, let us know. If anything cuts you everything, just kind of relax. It's not always front and back, it's either side or out, just let your body go. Okay, I don't know what this is, so I apologize. Wow, that was, was quick, that was super quick.
Speaker 4:So do you guys have those? So you have a flux. So you know, on the flux you can turn it sensitivity-wise or like the bell. That is literally just click-back. Oh the flux is really good.
Speaker 5:The flux out Alright, so I'm having a friend here. She's doing fun. Mm-hmm, can you do me a favor and gently push me from here, guys? Yep, thank you. Can you gently push her towards the middle? Thank you, can you gently push her towards the middle? Thank you.
Speaker 4:Turn your eyes to the other side. Thank you, thank you. Are you excited to have more friends here? Thank you. Are you excited to have your friends here? Yes, yeah, they reversed. Yeah, yes, I'm all right. Yes, yep, okay. Are you the one that selected Melissa to fly? Yes, yes, thank you. Yes, yes, thank you. Are you a child? Yes, yes, yeah, I think it was outside. Did you pick her because you can tell that? Did you pick her because you can tell she has a child? I keep asking that. Okay, okay, okay, yep. Do you like dogs?
Speaker 2:I smell rubber, do you?
Speaker 3:want to smell it, do you? Oh, I just heard that that, like Mm-hmm, me too Did you used to work on vehicles.
Speaker 1:Yeah, are you a boy?
Speaker 4:Yes, Are you a child?
Speaker 1:That's the second cut, so still the same person. Mm-hmm, do you want to play?
Speaker 2:Yeah, do you like toys?
Speaker 5:Well rubber, interesting. Yeah, that might be a toy too oh my gosh Mm-. And he had a little baby toy too oh my gosh Mm-hmm. Or a ball, does that smell?
Speaker 3:remind you of anything. Does it remind?
Speaker 4:you of a toy. She did a little because she hit my finger. Yes, I have some toys with me. We can get out If you want to play with them. Would you like to play with them? No, no, would you like us to stay here for a little bit? Yes, can you make?
Speaker 1:a noise? Yes, okay, we'll wait. Did you make a noise?
Speaker 4:Yeah, that's true. Are you able to make those blue lights on the floor change color? Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 5:That was me Is there more than one here, so sorry.
Speaker 1:Sorry, so sorry, I got me. Oh my God, that scared me. Wait what? Drop it All my pockets scared all of us. Oh my God, I'm so sorry. Oh my God, I was like Everyone awake. Yeah, we're awake. Okay, I was smelling so much rubber. Oh, my God, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. You guys, you remember the kickball? I mean kickball, kickball.
Speaker 5:The rubber.
Speaker 1:Yeah. It was like intense.
Speaker 3:So he said a ball. Oh, I was thinking like you work on vehicles and I think I said a ball. And then he was asking about like toys and a ball, yeah, rubber.
Speaker 1:And it's a child that was talking to you. How'd you feel I like if, at first, like I was like kind of like like really sweaty, but I like every time like I would go like I would try to look down, it kept winding like open up my eyes really, but I seen like a little bit of silhouette of you and I kept trying to like hold my eyes shut.
Speaker 4:It was weird, just kind of I'm not trying to read into it too much, but did you drop it or did it fall out of your pocket? I honestly don't even know this one, but I don't know if it fell out of the pocket because I wasn't.
Speaker 1:I was recording.
Speaker 3:I did ask for them to make a sound and and they were like no, not yet, or something, and then like literally right after you recorded that, though, right With it being Felt like it followed yeah, so you're going to hear Hen ask about noises like whatever.
Speaker 4:And then she said, did you? Well, it's still on the record, right, yeah?
Speaker 1:And then it fell. Yep, you got it on both. Yeah, because she's been standing there quite a long time, not like swaying, I wasn't moving.
Speaker 4:Yeah, no, so I don't, that's awesome.
Speaker 3:That's why I was scared. You came out of nowhere. That scared me, that scared me.
Speaker 4:Yeah, that scared me. It scared all of us.
Speaker 3:What Can you replay that back?
Speaker 1:Do you have, like I just want to hear the contract Because it wasn't very far afterwards. Yeah, the more I smell that rubber, the more.
Speaker 3:I sweat, I smell it too Really. Yeah, the first time you said it.
Speaker 4:We're all rubber. A couple of people said this to me. If you were making Melissa smell a rubbery smell. Can you make something go up please? There's plenty of toys down there or devices, if you don't want to. What's that blue thing? That's the blocks.
Speaker 1:Oh okay, how do I fast forward on this? Is that a video?
Speaker 4:No, go for it. It's really difficult. Oh, I mean it's.
Speaker 1:I learned something new. What are you looking at? So it's probably at probably at like 19 minutes, 20 minutes, it was before, huh, yeah.
Speaker 4:It was right before this, right before, yeah, before he asked about the blue lights.
Speaker 1:Oh, never here. Let me get the chair. No, be careful with your knee. Watch your head. Oh, thank you. She's going to have the best session she's ever had in her life.
Speaker 2:Be careful on that knee girl.
Speaker 3:No, no, no, no no, no, no, no, we're setting that off right now. I'm like we're still packing. Then the last time I was here with.
Speaker 1:Lisa, there was a nasty one. It's fun.
Speaker 4:It was a good one, I can have some shape on my legs bored, bored, mom, mom.
Speaker 2:Hey, babe go there go there, go there, go there, find me, find me, me as well, me as well. Come, come. Do you need me to repeat her still, or can you hear her? I can't hear her, you can't, I can't, okay, I can't, okay, I can't. I can hear. Okay, break in, break in Trouble. Soundproof, soundproof.
Speaker 5:Mama Call her, call her.
Speaker 2:Mama Caller or caller, you're calling for your mom Caller.
Speaker 5:Let's see Mom hello, hey, help who needs help.
Speaker 2:Who needs help? Hey, help, help. There's no attack on my head. Were you born yet? Were you born here? No, no, okay, listen Okay.
Speaker 5:So let's Okay, listen, okay, so let's listen. Hi, twinkle Twinkle.
Speaker 1:Mother, mama, mama Sarah. She said Sarah. Who said Sarah who.
Speaker 2:Yes, who is Sarah From my team?
Speaker 3:Mom Spirits, yeah.

Speaker 2:I got a snow globe still. I'll give it back to you guys. It could be a spirit. I hope it's a spirit.
Speaker 4:There's one that's fucking crazy, but two it hits a person. I don't know how they got in, but that amount of walking, that gray light just triggered up there.
Speaker 5:Come over here. Come over here, I want to go. No, I don't care. Is he in the building?
Speaker 1:Are you in the building? No, I think that might not work. Oh fuck, Tell him to come out back.
Speaker 2:Hey, do you guys want me to lock that door? Really quick up there.
Speaker 3:No, it's already locked. I can't decide for a minute. I don't know. It sounds like a person, like it was in a, we're locked out of the building right now.
Speaker 4:We went down the fire escape because it.
Speaker 2:Do you guys know who's bandit is across there? That's been out there all night, they just said at the college.
Speaker 5:We thought you might be up here.
Speaker 3:Could have been you up on the third floor. Okay, we locked ourselves out there. Can you text me the? Is there a code? Okay, tell him to look at the attic. Sorry, aaron, we're sorry. He said it wasn't the code then I thought you guys got to take this down. No, we're going to go with you. We're not going to let you go alone. No, I don't want to Do. You guys want to sit in your cars for a minute? Yeah, but I don't have my keys.
Speaker 4:Okay, we'll all go in base camp. Get your keys, just go sit in the car. Can I go inside?
Speaker 2:Okay, if here's the question, though.
Speaker 4:Wait, here's the question If it's a spirit, do we go to the ass?
Speaker 1:Yeah, lisa, take this, it's a snow globe. It's the one that fucking hit, or what is it? You got long fingers.
Speaker 3:It's one of us. I see a flashlight.
Speaker 2:Crazy. You want me to just go back up towards that way and come down.
Speaker 1:For you guys. You want me to just go back up that way and come down Free these. Let me just go back up that way and come down.
Speaker 2:Every door is locked from the outside.
Speaker 1:So even the door we just came out of, all the doors are locked from the outside. That's why I'm like that was an actual no. That was good.
Speaker 2:Freaked me out If it was not a humor, they were pacing. Yeah, I can feel them pacing.
Speaker 1:Does anyone here carry? We do.
Speaker 3:I do, but I don't have it.
Speaker 1:We can't take it from state to state.
Speaker 3:It comes in my car. My car's stable and we only have three. We can get on it. That's fine. It's okay, we got it. My car is stable time.
Speaker 4:And I have a baby. Can we get out of the car? That's fine, that's okay, we'll stop. You're not going to love me? Well, I don't want to. We're just going to get out of here.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:We're going to get my stuff too. Yeah, or we can just come back and we'll get our stuff After.
Speaker 2:Or do you want us to stop? Yeah, just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just.
Speaker 3:I feel like they were painting.
Speaker 1:Yeah here, I got a bunch of flashlights in here. Hold on you guys. There's a bunch in here. I don't know what to say. Dude, this is gonna be a cool fucking movie. I just want to say look at me, this is a whole fucking movie Because of some deranged. Okay, your headlamp. Is that all you?
Speaker 3:need. Okay, the light here is you don't have to. Well, I'm, the light here is green. You guys, you don't have to.
Speaker 1:Well, I'm home. Nobody has to. You're not home, you're right here on screen, you guys, you guys, walk out the door twist that lock and lock this door behind you guys.
Speaker 4:Okay, Just twist it and lock it.
Speaker 1:I have my purse right here. Yeah, I'm still recording, are you? Yeah, you guys, for our listeners we just had to go out the escape, out the back of the building, like the emergency escape, because we don't know if it's alive or it's a spirit. Think it's a spirit, personally spirit too, but that is fucking powerful and active.
Speaker 2:I don't want to be in the front.
Speaker 5:What am I doing to do with it? I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. No, back up, pull out. Go on the front Right over here.
Speaker 1:So we can see. Okay, I went out there and started recording. Eh, I thought, oh sure, I'm going to go to the spirit. I might not even have the energy, or just like yeah, just like back up a little bit. We can stay like this for a minute so we can see the cloud. That's fucking crazy. I would like to put it in there.
Speaker 5:But you're afraid of sugars. Yeah, oh, my God.
Speaker 1:All right, you guys, we're staking out. I want to stake out. I'm going to turn this down so they can hear us. I'm going to get my phone right here. This is some fucking crazy shit, dude.
Speaker 2:I'm going to spend an active night. I'm like shaking, I'm like with adrenaline, I'm wide awake.
Speaker 1:I'm like adrenaline, I'm wide awake. Yeah, now we are.
Speaker 5:Listen for screams.
Speaker 2:All these that you really can't hear.
Speaker 1:I think that door up, there is still open though, don't you?
Speaker 2:Well, one of them came out behind all of us, so they would have made sure the door shut, but they were trying to be quiet too. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I think it's still open.
Speaker 3:I see them right there. Okay, crazy, crazy, hell yeah.
Speaker 1:Because like, what would they do if like there?
Speaker 2:was like a couple guys. Are you going to pull in here? Yeah, because like, what would they do if, like, there was like a couple guys?
Speaker 1:Are you going to pull in here? Yeah, back in you, ready to do it? All right, you're going to tell me how to do it then? Okay, I'll do it, you sure? Yeah, here, take my phone, here's everything. Okay, I feel really tall in this seat. Yeah, no shit. So what are we going to do? We're going to turn it away. I'm working this back right here. Look at you, easy peasy. Well, that's just because I am we're crazy, we're fucking nuts together.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I don't like that. They're by themselves. I know, because there's more power, there's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. There's more power. Together, we had to tackle some motherfucker. Yeah, we would. You know, you put your foot on their neck when you get them down On the throat or the neck, yeah, How's Dino?
Speaker 1:put on their neck when you get them down on the throat or the neck. Yeah, I hope that it came out in the recording as it was. It was good for us to hear. We'll hear it. Yeah, here's your phone back. It's okay, just put up on there up on there. Is that window kind of? It is a little bit, isn't it?
Speaker 2:It would be so fucked up. I don't hear them either. We don't have their numbers. No Fuck, there's a light on in there.
Speaker 5:Oh hi, oh, it went off. Wait a second, they're there, they just went out.
Speaker 1:Okay, yeah, looks like they're walking fast. Okay, so we see the girls up on the third floor. Is that second? Oh, that's the third.
Speaker 5:Okay, now they're not here. Now they're back where we were. I'm just trying to get the evidence Suckers, suckers.
Speaker 1:No, because that was like boots. It sounded like boots, okay. Okay, we're out here staking out making sure no one I'm sorry, I'm sorry, we just wanted to make sure you weren't the intruder.
Speaker 5:The lights are off in the attic but not on that floor.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I know, we may know these things. It's kind of funny to a stakeout. I could do this for a living. Yeah, I could see you for a living. Yeah, be a detective, I could see you doing that. Oh God, yeah, tell me, I wouldn't be so good at it. Oh, you would be, I'd be like I'm to the front, sally. Oh, he got on his bike. Oh, wait, no, oh, that's weird, mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:When they all just got slaughtered all right, you guys, so I didn't get the recording Lisa and them coming back down and outside to talk to us. So nobody ended up getting slaughtered, everybody was still alive. They did not find anybody in the building living. They pretty much went up and down, up and down, up and down, kept going up through the attic where we were hearing the footsteps, up and down, up and down, kept going up through the attic where we were hearing the footsteps. So either somebody that's living was hiding very well, or it was the spirit, and we still haven't figured that out yet. I think Carissa's phone picked up on the walking a little bit.
Speaker 1:So that is all of the fun parts of Chicago and Ohio and, like I said, it was a really crazy end of the night. It got pretty scary for a minute and I don't know if you guys heard, but I did pick up a snow globe from the table and I was really ready to use it. I'm the type of chick like if I'm in a situation like that and I think that there is a predator around, I'm picking up something to throw at you or hit you with. So again, we don't know if it was living or spirit, but I'm hoping it wasn't living. But you guys, if you have not checked out that place a fear-filled county poorhouse you have to. And, like I said, the cemetery is on the grounds and also the school buses on the grounds were used in one of the seasons for American Horror Story. All right, you guys. Thanks for tuning in and we'll be talking soon.
