Strange Deranged Beyond Insane
What I Watched Will Keep You Awake at Night
Delving into the darkest corners of streaming platforms, I've spent six weeks immersed in documentaries that have genuinely disturbed and fascinated me. This exploration began with the shocking revelations about Hailey Bieber's apparent stalker-like obsession with Justin Bieber and her pattern of mimicking Selena Gomez—from identical tattoos to vacation photo recreations. The evidence presented transforms what could be dismissed as celebrity gossip into a legitimately concerning behavioral pattern.
The most emotionally devastating documentary chronicles the Frankie family tragedy, where a Utah mother's involvement with a manipulative "counselor" led to severe child abuse and family destruction. Learning about Jodi Hildebrandt's cult-like influence over Ruby Frankie reveals how even seemingly normal families can descend into dangerous extremism under the right pressures.
Horror reached new heights with the "Return to Nature" funeral home scandal, where grieving families discovered their loved ones' remains were never properly handled but instead left to decompose while operators pocketed their money. The psychological trauma inflicted on these families is immeasurable and makes for truly difficult viewing.
Celebrity documentaries offered surprising depth, from Diddy's complex childhood to the Jerry Springer story that balanced nostalgic entertainment with poignant reflections. Meanwhile, breaking news about "Ghost Adventures" star Aaron Goodwin's wife allegedly attempting to have him murdered through a prison romance with a convicted killer demonstrates that truth often eclipses fiction in its strangeness.
From urban legends like the Black Hope Cemetery (a real-life Poltergeist scenario where homes built over an unmarked African-American burial ground reportedly experienced supernatural disturbances) to bizarre Vatican rumors surrounding Pope Francis's hospitalization, these documentaries collectively showcase our endless fascination with the extremes of human behavior and unexplained phenomena.
What documentaries have disturbed you lately? Share your recommendations and let's compare notes on these glimpses into humanity's darkest corners. Are we drawn to these stories out of morbid curiosity, or is there something more profound we're seeking to understand about ourselves?
Hey everyone, good evening. It's your host, melissa, back at Strange, strange Beyond Insane. Alright, so tonight I want to go over some extremely mind-bending, fucked-up documentaries that I've seen lately, in like the last month, month and a half, since this is a crowd-pleaser right now and it's completely going viral over the internet. Going viral over the internet the one that I this is the only one that I watched so far on YouTube, and this is about Hailey Bieber's dangerous decade long obsession and it's called I Want Him. I try to stay out of like the poppy girl drama. I am a Selena fan, so I've been seeing all this shit for like years on.
Speaker 1:How Hailey Bieber is obsessed with Justin Bieber and always has been, and you know she's like obsessed with Selena Gomez and copies everything she does. So after just watching this one, she is an extreme stalker. Like Hailey Bieber is a nutjob I mean, the writing is clearly on the wall. Like she literally copies every fucking thing Selena Gomez does. Like, within hours after Selena Gomez got excuse me, a tattoo behind her ear the G like a G symbol for her little sister, gracie, I think I think that's her name, gracie and then Haley Bieber literally went like 25, or I think, was it no, seven days later and got the same G behind her ear tattooed and said that it was for her pastor's daughter or something. I mean, there's like so much Even Justin Bieber has kid on talk shows, like he was kidding around saying that her Hailey Bieber's dad, alec Baldwin, pretty much set them up as an arranged marriage. Like you cannot unsee it and once you kind of like dive into this, it's it's pretty disgusting, it's actually really scary. Like I'm scared for Selena Gomez. I feel like they're even just with like this whole um selective obsession thing just with Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez.
Speaker 1:I feel like the girly pop, the Disney girls, are kind of like all in competition right now. Um, the main Disney girl that I remember is Hilary Duff. That would probably be like my favorite and, um, you know, obviously I was like a huge Nickelodeon fan. So, like Selena Gomez, um, I love, I absolutely, absolutely adore her. I think she's so pretty and timeless. Um, adore her. I think she's so pretty and timeless. Um, okay, so Miley Cyrus, I like Miley Cyrus. Uh, well, you know, cuckoo for Coco Puffs. I like that about her. Um, she's gotten a lot of plastic surgery lately and it's very freaky looking. She kind of is like starting to look like an alien, which is sad because she was such a pretty girl, um, you know.
Speaker 1:And then of course, demi Lovato, which I've never really cared for, to attention seeking. But it's funny because, like Hailey Bieber tries to be this like poppy girl too, like in the group, and obviously she has like no fucking talents. She has a cosmetic line road, I think. But Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco her fiance just went to Disney World last month and Hailey Bieber just went like right after and literally copied everything that Selena did from like all the pictures, right, and then Demi Lovato was, you know, there with her man and like same shit. And they're all teasing new music Ever since, selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have released some of these new songs on her new CD I think it's called I Love or I Said I Loved you First, and obviously Benny Blanco, being like a huge jazz producer, um, produced a CD for her this album and now it seems like everybody's trying to catch up to her and like come out with new music. It's just I don't get too too deep into it because you can't really read into the internet, but it's just so funny to watch like they all compete with each other all the time. Super, super catty. But, yeah, I'll love to see how this all pans out with everybody. Miley Cyrus just teased new music, yeah, so we'll see what happens with that.
Speaker 1:All right, the next documentary that I'm going to talk about actually was really scary to watch. It actually made me feel like very uneasy and it gave me like heart palpitations. It gave me anxiety, and this one is called the Frankie family. Um, it was just very shattering. They are, um, they were, a super religious family in Utah and the mom, ruby Frankie, turned into like this big time blogger. Anyways, um, she basically, let's just say, went crazy. She ended up going to extreme. She got affiliated with this business partner slash psychologist that like made her separate from her husband for like over a year. They were abusing the kids. The youngest, one of the youngest kids was like super malnourished and beat pretty much and held hostage and got out and finally went and got a neighbor. But if you haven't seen it, you have to watch it. It is very sad, but very, very, very good, very, very good, all right.
Speaker 1:So the return to nature Um, this is a funeral home documentary and this was utterly fucking disgusting and it was actually really hard to stomach, um. So basically, uh, return to nature, no embalming, um, just a natural, I guess, way for your loved one to go. I'm not going to get into all the details because there's probably some viewers or, I'm sorry, some listeners that haven't seen this yet, but basically it was a huge scam and they let the bodies pile up and the guy never fixed the freezer. So there was neighbors around I believe this was in Colorado that were complaining about smells and a lot of the families never got their loved ones remains. So they basically got a warrant and got in there and busted through and there was rats eating all the bodies, bodies piled up. It was just so fucking disgusting. But they are in jail, thank God. But yeah, that was pretty hard to watch too. I cannot imagine never getting my loved one's remains and then knowing that their body was just decaying and rats were eating it.
Speaker 1:Now, if you really want to get into or I should say, go down a rabbit hole too, there is a few episodes out. It's called the Curious Case Of, and I think there's five or six. All these episodes are very compelling and interesting to watch. However, the one about Bam Majera remember Jackass. It was extremely ADD to watch because it really never focused on him, in my opinion. Right, they like danced around all these other stories and then I don't know, it was just really weird, like they started with Bamajira. They kind of like ended with him but never made it about him, even though that episode was supposed to be about him. So it was very confusing. So another one in that slew of episodes is about a woman named Jodi Hildebrandt. She is a disgusting human being and a compulsive liar and a complete narcissist. So watching about Jodi Hildebrandt however you say her name, she is the so-called counselor, psychologist, business partner that was with that Ruby Frankie family. But it does a real deep dive on her and how she got started and how she got it and like how you know she made herself I hate to say it, but like a cult leader and she's just, she's a disgusting fucking woman and I am so glad she's in prison. But that is a very interesting one too.
Speaker 1:To watch the Jerry Springer documentary on Netflix was really good and it was, you know, super nostalgic for, like us 90s kids growing up and you know, I did have some giggles. Obviously, some of the episodes were so funny, so scripted. I mean, it was just like raw TV and back then that was, I think, the most raw, nasty ghetto fighting all mixed in one type of reality TV. I guess, if you will, um, that you could watch. It was a little bit sad, though that you could watch. It was a little bit sad, though it did kind of touch on like some sad parts of his life and kind of how he got tossed around a lot. It was very interesting, though. Out of 10, I would definitely give it probably an eight. So the Fall of Diddy was very interesting. I think I watched that last month.
Speaker 1:They really did a deep delve into his life and childhood and I was very surprised to hear a lot about him being so young. Like they touched in on how well he was dressed from his mother and like, when he moved onto this block, his neighbor that he obviously grew up with and became best friends with was like who's this rich kid, who's this like rich black kid dressed like this, like he was dressed like an old, fashionable man at like four years old, five years old. It showed. You know his dad died. I didn't realize I knew his dad, his real dad died. I didn't realize how young he was when he died. It dove in on how strict Diddy's mom was and she was really really hard on him, like break his back hard, like you need to be a man. There's no time for emotions. You need to be successful.
Speaker 1:It was very interesting to watch and one thing that I never would have known is that, like one of the first gigs that he ever put together, it unfortunately took innocent lives during a tragic stampede through a gym, like a gymnasium, and they were trying to get through into the gym but the doors were locked. I forget why they locked them, because they couldn't have any more. I think they were like past capacity or they were past the capacity that could be in there, but from like the outside you came in down the stairs and then you had to like go up half stairs to get into the actual gym, to get into the actual gym, and I think two or three people died and it was. It was crazy to know that he had already put a bad name out for himself and how he bounced back from that and they didn't really get in too much into like the pedophile, the freak off parties. I mean they did a little bit, but this was more of like a background on him and how he got so rich and powerful, so I really enjoyed that. I would definitely give that like a nine out of 10.
Speaker 1:Okay, and of course, the Gabby Petito story. Um will forever be heartbreaking, but fortunately I hope that this raises a lot more awareness for domestic violence and after like cause. I had already seen one or two of these about her Um and I thought this one was pretty good. It was kind of like the same shit that I already seen, so I'd give it like maybe a five out of 10. Uh, but after watching the body cams on the police officers, you really have a different perspective of them and how her boyfriend Brian like played them that he was like the battered one. It was actually really sad to see that again, because I haven't watched it in a minute and it was. It was definitely very hard to watch. So, like I said, I hope that raises a lot of awareness. Okay, so Scam Manda. This was very interesting to watch. However, multiple times I wanted to jump through the fucking tv screen and punch her like.
Speaker 1:It is so repulsive to watch someone lie about cancer and then take money from innocent people and then even after that, she kept fucking lying, like even after she got caught, even after she pleaded guilty. Like she's going onto this podcast the lady that was going into prison to like interview her and she still had excuses. She was still lying to people and I'm just like that's pathetic and honestly like how much work you have to do to like take these fake pictures and hospitals. They were saying that like she was constantly going to the hospital just to, you know, tell them, oh, I have cancer, I need this, I need that. Well, of course they're going to hook you up to machines, but it was very disgusting. I cannot believe people like get away with conning people like that for so long. Just very, very repulsive. All right, so since we're talking about the most fucked up documentaries that I've watched lately, I am going to name this part two of the episode of the most fucked up things I've seen on the internet lately that I think are very interesting. Um, I'm gonna try not to laugh. It's not funny, but I just couldn't believe when I seen this. Um. So Aaron Goodwin uh, ghost adventure star, his wife was arrested. Um on allegation she was trying to orchestrate him to basically get murdered.
Speaker 1:So prior to Victoria Goodwin's March 6th arrest for allegedly orchestrating a murder for higher plot against the Ghost Adventure star. Police say she and Grant Amato, the convicted murderer she is accused of hiring the hitman through, began exchanging romantic text messages. According to an arrest report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department obtained by E News. The text exchanges began in May of 2024 after Victoria saw Grant in the Paramount Plus docuseries according to the filing docuseries. According to the filing, the series chronicled his plot to steal $200,000 from his family before murdering his mother, father and brother in January of 2019. In the messages, which police say ended in October 2024, victoria, 32, and Grant, 35, discussed how much they are in love. Per the filing, she also told the inmate that her husband, fh, would not accept divorce.
Speaker 1:In addition to the romantic subject matter, police said that Victoria, who has pled not guilty in the case, according to the Entertainment Tonight, had also been messaging the convicted killer about the murder plan. Am I a bad person? She texted the inmate. First of all, how the fuck is she texting the inmate? According to the docs? Because I choose to end his existence, not divorce. Wow, when confronted about the text messages by investigators, victoria denied wanting her husband to be killed, and she added she did not remember sending the messages in question. Investigators also said she described her messages about wanting to be with Grant as fantasy or daydreams. Okay so E News reached out to any legal representations for Victoria for comment, but has not heard back. Well shocker, six days after his wife's arrest, aaron 48, who wed Victoria in 2022, filed for divorce, arguing that their views, tastes, likes and dislikes had become incompatible. Yeah, I would say so if she's trying to murder you. According to court documents obtained by People magazine, the filing also noted there is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife, of reconciliation between husband and wife, notably the TV's personality's last social media post about his wife came on Valentine's Day, when he shared a photo of Victoria at a miniature golf course. Alongside the Instagram pic, he wrote my Valentine always beats me at mini golf. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to laugh, it's just so fucked up that he had just posted that too. As for Grant, he was found guilty in August 2019 on three counts of first degree murder for killing his relatives and given a sentence of life prison for each count. He has not been charged in the alleged murder for hire plot.
Speaker 1:Wow, crazy, okay, um, all right. So I've kind of been catching up on this one. I seen this on TikTok. It was super interesting. It was one of the originalolved Mystery episodes from the 80s. You know the guy with the very freaky voice. I was actually just watching that at work the other day. I had that in the background and everybody that came in they're like oh wow, I haven't heard this guy in forever. I'm like right, like I remember watching that night and being freaked out.
Speaker 1:But anyways, this is called the Black Hope Horror or the Curse of Black Hope Cemetery. So this is an urban legend about a supposed curse linked to a housing development in Crosby, texas, built over an unmarked African-American cemetery, with reports of paranormal activity and misfortune among the residents. Okay, so the Black Hope Cemetery and African American burial ground is said to have been desecrated when a housing development Spanish Cove was built over. It Sounds like the Poltergeist movie. The McKinney family and the Black Hope community. Mercer McKinney, a Georgia-born farmer, settled in Harris County, texas, in 1857. After the Civil War, his wife and surviving family donated a portion of their land to their former slaves, forming the Black Hope community. All right, so the Williamses' experience. Ben and Jen Williams, former residents of the area claim that their house was haunted by ghosts from the Black Hope Cemetery, built without their knowledge. All right, so the paranormal activity? The Williams and their neighbors reported experiencing strange occurrences, including toilets, fl. Not disclosing the cemetery, but the lawsuit was unsuccessful. Successful, so, while some people believe in the curse, others dismiss it as just an urban legend, with some residents even stating that they have not experienced any type of paranormal activity. So there is a book about the Black Hope Cemetery and it is called the Black Hope Horror the True Story of a Haunting.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so I've been kind of like watching these episodes about this and I'm like I should look up and see if there is a movie made about it. If there hasn't been a movie made about it, I hope someone does make a movie, because it would be like the black version of the poltergeist, right? We all know about the poltergeist movies and it never ended up right. It was definitely an omen to obviously fucking build houses over an Indian burial ground. So if the Indians would be pissed, the black slaves that were buried there would probably be pissed off too. Right, again, if there's a movie that somebody knows about this, please let me know. If there isn't? I just gave a producer a really good idea.
Speaker 1:Okay, so I have kind of been following this Pope Francis thing, you know, in the Vatican, how he, you know, released. I think it was the night before Christmas he went into the Vatican and released, like to free the prisoners, and opened up different realms or portals, whatever. Well, he's been hospitalized since february 14th and continues to be treated for double pneumonia and multiple infections. His doctors have said his condition continues to improve gradually, so they do not expect to publish another medical bulletin until March 18th or 19th. Now I do have a short little like audio video that I want to play, because I saved this just for the podcast, because it is pretty freaky.
Speaker 2:This is the first time that the Vatican has reported that he is in a reserved prognosis, meaning that it is touch and go.
Speaker 3:Right now, something truly unsettling is happening in the Vatican. Rumors are swirling that the Antichrist is finally ready to step out of the shadows and reveal himself to the world. At the same time, the Vatican has officially confirmed that Pope Francis is in a dangerously critical state. The Pope has reportedly acknowledged that his time is coming to an end and has even requested that preparations for his funeral begin, with his condition worsening. The Vatican is now preparing to choose a new Pope, and the atmosphere is filled with tension and anticipation. Some believe this is more than just a medical crisis. It could be the fulfillment of prophecy. According to St Malachy's prophecy, pope Francis is the final pope before the rise of the Antichrist. The book of Revelation warns of a false prophet who will deceive the world, and some believe Francisance's teachings align with this prophecy. Now, as the vatican prepares to elect a new leader, could we be entering the tribulation period?
Speaker 4:join us as we break down the events, prophecies and signs so the pope had to be sedated because he kept screaming that demons were trying to take him to hell and there was a portal that opened up at the end of his bed. Allegedly, the story was confirmed by the Vatican he says he's in a hospital, suffering with kidney failure brought on by double pneumonia, and I hope he makes a full recovery. And if you're wondering, why would he be thinking he's seeing demons? Why is he thinking they're dragging him to hell? This is my personal opinion.
Speaker 4:If you look at the structure of the building from the inside, the stained glass windows look like eyes and the structure and the lining of it all is the shape of a serpent's head. If you look at the view from the top not just any snake's head, it looks like a venomous snake's head because the nose is squared off, the glass stained windows look like eyes and it has full on fangs and everything. If you look at the structure, you'll see it. Let's not forget about the Pope's throne. The throne is literally a frozen image of Jesus coming out of hell with the keys to heaven and earth, and all the demons are clawing and scratching at him. He used that image as his throne, which was the only time the demons actually had a little bit of a fight at Jesus and of course they failed. And for anybody that's going, oh, oh, that's too far fetched, oh, she's reaching, she's reaching.
Speaker 2:They have millions, probably trillions of billions of dollars, they might not be in the option. The sky's the limit. They could pick any image they want and they chose that image. So apparently, pope francis, who is the leader of the catholic church and currently battling double lung pneumonia and a kidney infection, has to be sedated because he states that he was seeing d words surrounding his bed trying to take him. This is all alleged.
Speaker 2:So do your own research. I looked it up and there was multiple different news outlets like talking about it. Working in a trauma center for as many years as I did, and seeing people like close to their death the whole phenomena of them seeing like D-words or seeing their loved ones waiting for them or like trying to get them, is all very real. If this is all true and I feel like, for the most part, like they're going to try to like hide it If this is all true it definitely makes me extremely sad because it just shows up clearly like he has a lot of things that maybe we just don't know about. But it also says that no matter what your position in life is, you can literally be the leader of the Catholic Church, but if you fall short, they will come looking for you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think that's pretty crazy that the Pope had to be sedated multiple times because he was screaming that he was seeing demons. I guess I have a lot of questions about that, like why the fuck would he be seeing demons? If he's the Pope, wouldn't he see angels? But again, a lot of people say that angels are fallen demons or fallen. You know, demons were once angels, whatever.
Speaker 1:Okay, so one of my favorite spooky stories, the like Amityville Horror, the Amityville House, all that. So the house is back back on the market as the owners dropped the asking price from $1.35 million to $955K and I just was like, wow, I wish I had the money, I would love to buy that house, but that's a huge, huge pay cut. So it kind of makes you wonder, like, are they dealing with paranormal activity in there? I don't know. I wish I lived close enough or could travel and go talk to them, but of course they probably would think I was a nut job, because you can't really show up on people's doorsteps now and be like, hey, is your house haunted? Can I come in? All right, so keeping the creepy theme here about crazy documentaries, weird news going on, like things that have creeped me out just seeing on the internet.
Speaker 1:Let's end this with some creepy facts. You know I love the creepy facts, all right. So did you know that you're actually paralyzed when you are dreaming? The Yellow River in China has over 10,000 bodies in it, butterflies like drinking blood. I did not know that there are over 250,000 deaths per year due to medical error. I believe that, oh man, why do we gotta go here with this? Alright, your bed is full of millions of bugs. Up to 10 million microscopic dust mites thrive in the warmth of your bed and feed on dead skin cells. Yeah, that's.
Speaker 1:Nobody wants to hear that. We know it's true, but we don't want to hear it. I'm pretty sure I probably have said this on here, but I fucking love saying this to people. Pigs have the ability to digest every part of a human body, even the bones. So that's why sometimes, like I'll make comments and I'll say you know, I'll just take you to the pig farm. For any of you freaks wondering, human flesh tastes a lot like beef and it's a little more sweeter and softer in texture.
Speaker 1:Yuck, Egyptian mummies wouldn't be so rare if the Victorian British hadn't eaten most of them. I did not. I've never heard that. I did not know that. I thought that they just stole them. All right. So Cotard's syndrome I think I'm saying that, right, I hope so Is a rare mental disorder that makes people believe that they are actually dead.
Speaker 1:Okay, so this is very interesting. So these are creepy facts that you did not know about Marilyn Monroe. Her body went missing for six hours after she died, even though it was an overdose. Her face has bruising. That was never explained. Her stomach contents were empty and had no trace of pills. Summit contents were empty and had no trace of pills. Marilyn's body had signs of SA with unknown DNA. All right, so these are interesting. So these are creepy facts about the zodiac signs.
Speaker 1:So, aries, you are obsessed with death. Let's see. Scorpio, you have violent fantasies. Sagittarius, you are emotionless. Capricorn, you are very controlling. Pisces, you wish for horrible situations to happen. Virgo, you have many dark thoughts.
Speaker 1:Okay, gemini, you are two-faced. We've heard that before. Libra, you know how to ruin your day in every way. Ouch, aquarius, very manipulative yes, I knew an Aquarius very well. Very, very manipulative. Very sneaky too, I should add.
Speaker 1:Taurus you are known as a stalker. Cancer, you are obsessive in relationships. Leo, you are a very good liar. Yeah, maybe I agree with that. I know some Leos, okay, and this one is absolutely terrorizing, terrifying, what nightmares are made of, and I'm going to end it with this. There have been many cases of people being pulled under the escalator because the floor gave out. Oh hell, no, now I don't. I don't even want to go on one. All right, you guys, thank you for listening tonight and, as always, you can email us at ghost sisters 21, 24, at Gmail. You can actually go on to the Buzzsprout site and send us a text message.
