Speaker 1:It's your host, melissa, at Strange Strange Band and Scene. Good morning. I want to start this off by saying Happy Veterans Day to everyone who has served and who continues to serve, and those that have served that are no longer with us. But I want to give a special appreciation shout out to my husband, um, who is a retired marine. He was in the service for six years. He has had three deployments under his belt. He was a marine well, always a marine, I should say.
Speaker 1:But, um, you know I'm so thankful for this man. I mean, we've had our times like anyone in any marriage, but I will say that the best things are worth waiting for, and I did wait for him to come home. I knew right when I met him he was the one, and he has made my life so much better. I cannot even picture what it would be like without him and, honestly, he is so supportive. I mean, the main reason why I have a podcast today is because of him. You know he believed in me. Why I have a podcast today is because of him. You know he believed in me. He went out and bought me all the beginner stuff to start podcasting for my birthday about two years ago and of course, you know I was nervous and I didn't have the confidence to do it. You know I kept saying what if nobody listens? What if I'm not good at it? And he said, well, what if you're great at it? Like, just try it, you know. So, yes, a special appreciation to Paul. That man puts up with a lot. He deals with my craziness, he believes in all of my paranormal you know, all the things in life that you know I have to throw around like paranormal conspiracies. He'll listen, even if he, you know, we can agree to disagree. Um, he is great about us taking our little paranormal trips. I am extremely lucky and um, yeah, so I just wanted to say that.
Speaker 1:And okay, so last night well, let's first of, too, let's say the Lions won again. Hell, yes, detroit, you know, and I was talking to Paul about this last night before I left with Christina to go meet out Art we went to back out to a cemetery that we've been one other time, a couple weeks ago, but I was watching the game with Paul for a little bit, you know, and I told him, anywhere that I've ever traveled, you know, the biggest question people ask you is where are you from and when you say Michigan, they automatically are like, oh, detroit. And it's like, okay, you know, because Detroit has a bad name and I've always had to hear about how shitty our football team is, you know. Oh, the Lions fucking suck and blah, blah, blah. Well, you know what? They did great last year and we are fucking doing it this year. So take those apples and make applesauce. I'm sorry I had to say that and I know a lot of men and women woke up very happy today. We needed some good things to happen, because this election this year has been crazy and we're not going to get into details about that, but people seem to be extremely unhinged. So, yeah, I've just kind of been laying low and only talking to, like my little circle of people, if you know what I mean.
Speaker 1:Okay, so TikTok you guys know my love for TikTok. Um, absolutely love TikTok. In fact, I want to get a TikTok sign for my podcast station. Um, I have a lot of friends on TikTok that I talk to quite a bit on there. Um, we've exchanged numbers too. I know a lot of people would say, oh, you shouldn't go out and meet strangers, especially in this day and age, you know, almost being 2025. But let me tell you I have met some of the coolest people.
Speaker 1:So we got to meet up with Jeff and Wendy last night. So I want to tell you guys a little backstory about this. So Jeff is called. His TikTok name, I believe is is haunted mitten on TikTok. Um, he's great. He's posts a lot of stuff. He has sent me a lot of evidence, asked me hey, what do you think about this? Even like recordings. So him and I have been chatting now, I think, for like a year and you know we finally got to meet up.
Speaker 1:But the thing is is at Pioneer Cemetery in South Dryden. You guys know all the occurrences out there. We'll just, you know, I'll give you a clue. My eye Kevin had some crazy experiences out there. Mothman Tom was there to experience a lot of it, scott was there, carissa has had experiences there, christina's had experiences there. On the list goes on and on and on. So from my tick tock, um, he has, you know, he became very interested in that cemetery. So him and Wendy have been out there quite a bit.
Speaker 1:You know, the coolest thing is is that my birthday is on September 21st. So this past birthday, christina and I we went out to South Dryden Pioneer and first we stopped at the apple orchard over there, I think it's I want to say it's in Bruce Township and we bought some like really cool pumpkins and we made our own props out there at the cemetery and we took some cool pictures. Let me tell you it was a bitch Like I had to run and jump because we didn't have anybody with us so we had to be on timed, like a timed setting. It was so funny. We were like rolling in dirt. Of course we were respectful. A couple pictures that we have of tombs we are taking their backside so that there is no writing on them in our pictures. A couple people met us out there too, and we all went out to dinner for my birthday. It was very, very nice. But anyways, I left the pumpkins there Because you know, christina and I thought about it and you know those pumpkins were expensive.
Speaker 1:I think I spent like 70 bucks on them, but they were really really, really good looking pumpkins, all different, and we made the decision. We said you know what? We're going to leave these pumpkins here. We love this cemetery for the spirits and let them rot naturally for all the animals out there. Well, the little white one that we had. We, like whatchamacallit, we took a, christina had, I think, either a pen or she had a marker with her like a permanent one and we wrote notes on it. You know, like September 21st birthday day, pictures were taken out here. We have a lot of evidence of this cemetery. We wrote the podcast name on there, like we just wrote like little messages on it and we put it all the way up on the arch going into the cemetery, like the red iron arch, and then you know the bricks on the side, so we put it up there.
Speaker 1:Jeff ended up going out there excuse me that day with his son. So his son's birthday is also on September 21st. I forget how old he said his son is I think 14, um. So he ended up texting me and I forgot that we had exchanged numbers and I didn't. I didn't get to save his number because he's only texted me a few times. We usually message on TikTok, so when this message came through, hey, we see your pumpkins, it's your birthday. That's awesome. It's my son's birthday too.
Speaker 1:And I'm looking at Christina later on at night. I'm like how the fuck does this person know that I? Who? How did they get my too? And I'm looking at Christina later on at night. I'm like, how the fuck does this person know that I like who? How did they get my number? I'm like freaking out. And she's like, wait a minute, what's going on here? Then I don't know how it dawned on me but I'm like, oh, it's a haunted mitten guy on tiktok. But then, you know, I had to ask him last night what is your first name again. So it was nice to put a face to his name, because he doesn't like really have like a lot of pictures of himself on tiktok. But, um, anyways, him and wendy were great, they were awesome.
Speaker 1:And, like I said, he texted me a couple weeks ago.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry. He messaged me on tiktok and he was like you girls need to go out to the cemetery and see what you think about it and blah, blah, blah. Like we got a lot of action. We had a psychic out there with us. I thought Jeff and Wendy brought this lady out there, but this is someone that they met. That was also in the cemetery. So you know, again, it was so cool that we got to meet up with them and you know, we can't always be so scared that we're like scared to meet up with people. My husband understands that there's men and women that do this. He doesn't get jealous, he doesn't think anything of it, you know. He just always tells me be careful, right, if Christina wasn't going to go, because I know her mom wasn't feeling well, so she was staying with her mom, excuse me, I probably I don't know if I would have drove out there by myself, because you know, you just don't know. But they ended up being really nice people and we walked around with them that cemetery for a couple hours. Um, yeah, it was great. So we definitely are going to meet up with them more. They have a lot of experiences too, out on dice road, like we do. So there will be many more adventures with jeff and hopefully wendy tags along too. But, um, you know, getting down to this, I am going to play the recordings that I got last night.
Speaker 1:Again, you guys, on Amazon there's these magnetic microphones, like it's like a magnetic clip and then the little mini microphone just like sticks onto it and then there's like a little piece that goes into your phone. I think I paid like $29. These mics are so cool to walk around with. I mean, they pick up everything. So if you guys anyone out there that you know, of course is out there doing paranormal stuff and investigations, I highly recommend just go onto Amazon and look up mini magnetic microphones. I actually seen it on TikTok and I'm not a TikTok shop girl. Um, I don't buy things off TikTok, I always buy them off Amazon. Um, nothing against TikTok shop. I just I have never bought anything. I don't really trust it. Um, I don't, not that I don't trust TikTok. I don't trust ordering it on TikTok. I mean, how long is it going to take to get to my house? You know, like at least Amazon Prime. You know it's going to be one to two days, sometimes a week. All right, you guys. So I'll be back with these recordings.

Speaker 1:All right, you guys. So that's a recording from the first night that we went out. I was hoping that we got the owl in the background. This owl kept hooing and I mean, this cemetery is really big and anywhere that we would like move to the cemetery, all the way to the back, to the front, to the sides, this owl, it seemed to be following us.
Speaker 1:So this is an app that I was playing and you know we never know about apps, right. But here's the thing, excuse me, I have, I have hands down, seen apps do work and they work, and they don't work the way that you think they do. And they work in they don't work the way that you think they do. So this app you know it says ghost detected. This is a newer app that I seen on the in the store. Well, here's the fucked up thing, right? So like it will show this, like quick, like very I'm trying to explain it it's a very faint like apparition and they're all different, but it's like a quick blink of the eye, then it's gone. So I kept screenshotting on this app and I was like damn it, like nothing will show up, it's all dark. So when I was sending them to my friend Teresa, because she loves. You know, teresa's been on here quite a bit, her and the kids, and she likes to look over evidence. So when I first started sending them to her, I'm like you can barely see it. Well, when you lighten up the photo like no enhancement, just light it, you know, like make it lighter All of a sudden there's like full apparitions Now apparitions Now when I was using this app, christina was snapping pictures of not my phone but outside, like where the supposed spirit was, and she got fogginess every single time. So I definitely think that there's truth to it and I was going to save this part for the last part of this episode, but before I play the recordings of all four of us from last night, all right.
Speaker 1:So Teresa's house, also a hotspot for paranormal activity. She claims she doesn't know why, because she has all those kids there. And she says I'm always bitching and the kids are screaming. Why would spirits want to be at my house? Well, because they are addicted to the energy that are there. So she has been dealing with a poltergeist for at least three, four months now. Actually, her and I were on the phone yesterday. I on my end, I thought it was the baby, like I thought he yelled and she was like what the fuck was that? And she's like running to the kids and she goes what was that? What did you guys do? And they're like nothing, nothing. See, this is the thing too about paranormal activity. A lot of times, when you hear something someone else doesn't, or when someone else is hearing something you don't, and it's a huge, huge obstacle when you're investigating or any kind of evidence, you're like why does it not come up on the phone, on the recording? And I will just say this there's a lot of things that you are meant to hear that are not meant to be recorded. Where was I going with that? I got sidetracked. Okay, so Teresa's house being a hotspot Now some episodes ago, I think last year we talk about the ghost car in front of Teresa's house so her cousin was over this night, this particular night.
Speaker 1:So it was Teresa, her cousin and myself, and Teresa couldn't go out because the baby wasn't feeling well and you know her husband wakes up super early for work. So her cousin and I were like well, we're not going to leave you, we'll hang out. You know, we'll just hang out at the house. And of course, you know Teresa was like, well, we're not going to leave you, we'll hang out. You know we'll just hang out at the house. And of course, you know Teresa was like, no, I feel bad, you guys go out. We're like no, we're not leaving you.
Speaker 1:So, anyways, I already had all my equipment with me and I'll just tell the gist of the story, because it's a long one, and just get to the important part. So I brought out all my equipment out on the porch and it was, I think, like around this time it was either like November, october, right, if it was October, it was the end of October. So her cousin and, you know, teresa, were very interested in my equipment. So you know, I'm just telling them to pull it out and, you know, showing them how to use certain things. Teresa really got hooked on those dousing rods. That's why I bought her a pair. She was using my light up ones and her cousin was, you know, messing with other stuff. So I had ran my spirit box and that's kind of like when we open, you know, quote, unquote a portal there Now, randomly. So I'm sitting on the swing and her and her cousin are on the porch in the chairs.
Speaker 1:I remember seeing the images in my head, like like I remember like third person, like like watching myself walk, if you will. But I don't remember anything leading up to this. So supposedly we're all talking and Teresa said that I got really, really quiet and she looks over and she's like your eyes were closed. So she, of course, told her cousin like what the fuck? She fell asleep. She was like in mid-conversation, so I was dreaming.
Speaker 1:So in this dream, this dreamlike stage that I'm in, I see this big, wide, open path with all these beautiful orange leaves, and I'm walking, like I'm, it's like I'm above, watching myself walk. I see my hand shuffling, I see my feet moving and on both sides are graves, you know gravestones. And this path is beautiful, it's really wide, it's it's just like the perfect fall night. And then, all of a sudden, I feel something next to me or over me and I opened my eyes and it's Teresa and she's like where did you just go? And I'm like wait what? And I go, what are you talking about? And she goes, you fell asleep. And I said, oh my God, I'm so sorry, I go. How long was I sleeping for? And she said, melissa, like not even two minutes. And I'm like what? Well now I'm like all sorts of confused. I'm like what day is it? What night is it? Did I spend the night? Is it morning? Did I just get here? I was so like, I was just so out of it.
Speaker 1:So I'm sitting there and, as she's telling me this, she's like are you okay? And I said yes, I actually just closed my eyes to see what, because I it's crazy, it's like it's burned into my brain this beautiful path with these leaves and tombstones on both sides, but it's a very, very, very wide path. I'm a little dizzy talking about this. So I'm telling her what I seen and she's like oh my God, she's like I think you were like astral projecting again. And I said I don't know, I go, it felt like a dream. And she goes well, that's what that is. And I said but it was beautiful. And I was like I felt so much peace, like it was just like such a pretty place and I loved how like wide the path was. I've never been to a cemetery that looked like that. And she goes are you sure you were in a cemetery? I said yes, and she's like you didn't feel scared. I said no, not at all. And she was like, wow, that is super strange.
Speaker 1:Okay, so a couple weeks ago when Christina and I visited the cemetery that we were just out with Wendy and Jeff, because you know again, jeff told us about this place and it's weird like he was very adamant that I go out here. So, me and Christina. First of all, this place is in Plymouth, I live in Sterling Heights, christina lives in Warren, so it's a good, you know, 38 to 40 minutes away, so it's like southwest right, and you know. Oh, okay, sorry you guys, I thought this skipped out again. I've been having some technical difficulties with this.
Speaker 1:Okay, so, anywho, we pull into this drive to get to the cemetery and Christina's like these are like apartments and condos and I'm like, yeah, this is like really fucking weird, right, where's the cemetery at? And we're driving, driving, driving, all of a sudden Christina's like, oh, we're in the cemetery. And we're driving, driving, driving. All of a sudden Christina's like, oh, we're in the cemetery, it's like part of the condo place, and I was like what? And I put on my brights just so that I could like see where I'm going. And this like overwhelming feeling came over me and I was just like, oh, wow. And Christina's like what? And oh my God, christina, I've been here. And she's like no, she goes. You said you've never been here. She goes.
Speaker 1:And when you looked it up, it would have came up on your Google. Like you know, you visited whenever. And I was like no, no, no, not physically. And she's like what are you talking about? And I'm like hold on, just be quiet for a second, please. I'm like, I'm just, I feel so strange right now, like I literally like felt like I was levitating, but like not in a bad way, I just almost like I was high without you know doing any drugs or drinking.
Speaker 1:And I'm just looking around, looking around very overwhelmed, and I said, oh my God, this is a place that I dreamt of when I was at Teresa's. I was like holy shit, like how did I? How did I make it out here? Like I kept telling Teresa that I can still see that place, but I don't know where it's at. And Teresa kept saying to me like you got to figure it out, you got.
Speaker 1:There's a reason why you're supposed to like be at that place, like maybe it was. There's a reason why you're supposed to like be at that place, like maybe it was maybe not in this lifetime, right, and I had told Teresa, I think, the day after, like I finally went to the place that I dreamt of, on your porch, and she was like asking me all these questions. She's like, well, what's up with this place? Like what's the history? Like you've got to find your connection to this place.
Speaker 1:Now, it very well could be I was meant to, you know, meet Jeff and Wendy, you know it could, you know, be physical people. It could be physical spirits, it could just be maybe there's an ancestor buried there that I don't know about. We really haven't looked up, like find a grave Again, you guys, there's like over 300,000 people buried in the cemetery. So, yeah, I just wanted to tell you guys this. So, and I'm like I shit you not, this is literally. And then, like last night, when we pulled in because there was even more leaves, I was like, oh yes, this is definitely the place that I had dreamt of. So I think that's like the coolest thing ever.

So we have a lot of really, really cool pictures, and Christina got some crazy pictures of me. I got pictures of Jeff and Wendy. You know, like distorted Jeff looks like a square and like see-through, like his legs are. They're like if he had shorts on and they're not his legs. Obviously he had pants on. It was like 50 degrees. But yeah, you guys, so I wanted to give you a full, authentic, unedited feeling of what it's like to be recording outside and walking around.
